04.01.2022 GET TO KNOW OUR TEAM KATHRYN Today we’d like to tell you more about our Care and Connections Coordinator. Kathryn has worked at Shire Salvos Menai for over 5 years. Kathryn is caring and kind and known as Nana Kate to many. Kathryn is mum to two grown kids Jess and Matt and grandma to the gorgeous Hazel. Kathryn works for our church in helping people integrate into our church community, she connects and cares for all new people.... A fun fact about Kathryn is that she has been into the grounds of Buckingham House by invitation of the Queen, on both occasions Princess Diana was in attendance. Kathryn loves family, friends and being by the ocean. She’s often the first person to deliver a homemade meal to someone who’s sick or struggling. Instead of this year’s overseas travel plans, this year she thought she’d take up knitting instead a pre-requisite of becoming a Nana.. although not quite as fun as travelling! In an average workday, you will find Kathryn connecting in with people in our church and community, helping organising various church events, organising connections with women (girls night in), pastorally caring for our church community, and generally helping in any way to help our church community. We are so grateful for all Kathryn does for our church family, always going above her 1 day a week and we love that she is a part of our Shire Salvos team.
