24.01.2022 I had reconnected a few years ago with Janet, a friend from primary school. Last year she became quite ill. I had visited her a few times between December and mid March when the lockdown started. She bought my bee painting and asked me 5 weeks ago to do a couple of paintings of her dogs and cats. Sadly, Janet passed away on 1st April. Her daughter asked me to go ahead with the paintings. Janet was a lovely kind person and I feel that she would have loved the paintings as mu...ch as I loved doing them. Today I delivered them. Janet's daughter met me outside their house. She loves the paintings and we talked and cried for some time (at a distance). Here they are: Janet's Dogs See more
22.01.2022 One of my latest paintings for the exhibition titled "Down by the Sea". This one has a red sticker on it and we all know what that means. Nice boost in these uncertain times.

17.01.2022 I'll be at this market today with some paintings for sale and I'd love to see you. So if you want to avoid the shopping centres and support local artists, take a drive through the Dandenongs and stop by at the Art market. Am looking forward to seeing what other things will be there.

04.01.2022 An oldie from 2018 that now resides in son's bedroom. Hope to get some painting done over the next few weeks.
01.01.2022 So pleased that my Big Cat painting made it onto the walls of the Gippsland Art Gallery for the Art Aid auction coming up in March. There were so many donations that they wouldn't all fit in the gallery. There's to be a live auction on Sunday 15 March and tickets for that will be available from The Wedge Performing Arts Centre website or directly from the venue at 100 Foster Street, Sale, from this Friday. Tickets are free but are capped at 396 (the capacity of the venue). ...Bidder registrations will open at 3.00pm on the day and the live auction will kick off at 4.00pm. Auctioneers on the day will be Guy Cairnduff (Leonard Joels / Sothebys), Cr Darren McCubbin, and Leo O’Brien. The session of 200 highlights is expected to last until around 6.30pm and the Portside Bar will be open both before and following the auction. If you can’t make it to the live auction in person you’ll be able to register to bid through Invaluable.com and participate in real time. There will also be three-week pre-bidding period prior to the auction. In addition to the ‘live’ auction (limited to 200 lots) will be the online ‘timed’ auction, which will also run for three weeks until Sunday 15 March. While noting that they are still cataloguing and photographing artworks, they hope to have links to both auctions (‘live’ and ‘timed’) active by this Friday (or Monday at the latest).
