22.01.2022 Saturday was a no fly day with unfavourable winds but Sunday had a good roll up of members due to good winds down the strip from the north. Social distancing is now taken as just part of everyday life now which was good to see. Club member, Richard, obtained his Silver Power Wings today. He is seen here centre, with club president Bernie at left and CFI Shane at right. Well done Richard, I hear a rumour that Gold is now high on your agenda.

19.01.2022 After filming the 2 Bixlers and having a perfect sky to fly in, it was decided to see what mischief could be got up to chasing Rob's Tundra. Having such a great backdrop with clouds, blue sky, water & green grass makes even the most mediocre chase look great. Hope you enjoy.

17.01.2022 Club member, Richard, is an avid builder of foam board aircraft. He never ceases to amaze with what he brings to the field & how well they fly. Today was an improved version of an earlier Spitfire he had built & it performed beautifully right from launching.

07.01.2022 Well, this early birthday present had its maiden flight today. Some minor cosmetic changes were made during the build, the prop was black & changed to light grey, the spinner was black & changed to silver & the exhaust ports were silver & changed to copper/bronze. Only minor things but now looks like the full size in colour scheme. I was travelling back from Cootamundra several months ago & saw an identical Air Tractor dusting fields. How excited was I when I found that E-Fli...te had recently produced this model. Many thanks to our club's CFI, Shane, who took it up for its maiden flight for trimming (which wasn't necessary) so I could film it in such perfect conditions. It runs on a 3300ah 4S battery which gives it plenty of grunt if needed & more than adequate flying time. Oh bugger, I've just seen that I've misspelt November on the video. I was very tired when I did the editing & that slipped through, must be my fat fingers on the keyboard. My apologies. See more

06.01.2022 A fantastic flying day today, temp in the high 20's, a cloudless blue sky & light northerly winds down the strip. Here are a few shots of the day's flying, ranging from a most relaxed instructor next to a competent student, discus launching gliders & EDF's just to round off the day.

04.01.2022 On what was not the best of weekends for flying some members braved the conditions for a quick fly on the Sunday. I have followed on YouTube the flying expertise of Andrew Newton & the way he uses his Mobius 2 camera. I made a quick adjustment to my on board camera mount & fitted it to my cap in what I considered would be my eye line view. It worked out reasonably well & although the aircraft is small on the screen it now lets me fly & video at the same time. I pushed my luck... a bit & thought I could get a fly in before the rains returned. As Maxwell Smart would say, "missed it by that much." Anyway, an interesting exercise & if I was to edit it with some on board footage I may have better results. See more

02.01.2022 Flying Sunday 4th October 2020 Good weather, along with the start of daylight savings and a long weekend brought out many flyers to the field. The number and variety of aircraft was impressive, all wanting a good fly to shake the dust off. Our newest junior member, Benjamin, after about 4 flights did his first landing under the excellent tutorage of instructor Greg. This video is only a small snapshot of the days flying, sorry to those who missed out but more footage will be done shortly.

02.01.2022 A few shots from last weekends flying. Rob with his Edge 540T and some of the water laying around on the field, almost possible to bring a float plane down for a fly. The strip remained high & dry. See also the 2 videos posted for this weekend showing the extent of the water & the beautiful flying conditions.
