24.01.2022 Managing your debt well is an important step to financial freedom. The first thing is to make sure you have the best loan possible. Mortgage, investment, vehicle or equipment, Neeliya can work in your behalf to get a better deal.

23.01.2022 ISO challenge week 2. Each week for 4 weeks we are releasing an Isolation Challenge for you to have a look at if you have some spare time hanging around the hou...se. Last week we looked at cash flow, this weeks challenge is a DEBT CHECK. Debt is most likely one of the biggest expenses you have. Our challenge is broken into two parts. Part 1: If you have a mortgage When was the last time that you compared your mortgage rate to see if you can get a better deal? Interest rates have tumbled over recent years and not every lender has passed those cuts along. You can research what is out there on the net, or, send me an email with your current interest rate and whether it is owner occupied or investment loan and I'll find out for you. If it looks promising, I can orgainse a chat with our broker to discuss your circumstances specifically. Part 2: Personal debts Credit cards, personal loans and car finance can really eat into your cash flow and something the seems reasonable can end up costing a lot more when you finance the purchase. Below you will find a link to my strategy paper 'Credit Cards are Killing You' This paper goes through a simple strategy that can help you pay out your personal debts. You can find the strategy paper at https://ben7915.wixsite.com/landing-page-1 You'll need to put your name and email in to access, don't worry, we keep all your info private. If you are terribly worried about it, email me at [email protected] ask for the strategy paper and I'll email you a copy. Having a debt check can save you thousands of dollars and put a strategy in place to pay off useless, unproductive debts. Good luck with this weeks challenge, see you next time.

21.01.2022 It's time for some 'slightly after new year's' resolutions, that will actually stick. New blog today!

17.01.2022 If you have been paying attention to the financial markets you will have noticed that things have been more than a little volatile lately. People are panicking... on the the markets the same way they are panicking about toilet paper. Generally, it will be best for people to ride this out. People have a tendency to sell when things turn bad which only results in solidifying their losses. Sitting still can often be the best way forward. Those who love a bit of adventure may consider buying into this market. Warren Buffet famously said ‘be fearful when others are greedy and greedy when other are fearful’ You would be buying into the market at a significant discount to a few weeks ago, but you had better strap yourself in! If you find that worries about your super/investments are keeping you up at night, you could consider moving to cash. Cash isn’t paying much, and you might miss a bounce in the market, but you also need to consider your wellbeing. Being able to sleep is important too. Most of all, don’t panic. Ever since there has been a financial market there have been downturns, and every downturn has ended in an upturn. Every single one! This one will too. Feel free to get in contact if you have any questions. (BTW for those who don’t know I run the financial advice firm BGN Financial Management www.bgnfinancial.com.au There are many struggles we will be facing over the coming months. I hope your super/investments aren’t one of them. Ben. #generaladviceonly #talktoanadvisorbeforemakingdecsions #consideryourowncircumstances

15.01.2022 Superannuation is a tax-effective investment and can be a great way to save for retirement. One of the reasons is because the government provides tax incentives to save through super.

14.01.2022 Salary sacrifice is your ability to tell your employer to contribute some of your wage to your super fund. This money is contributed to your super before your income tax is applied, therefore you can receive a tax benefit as well as boosting your retirement savings.

08.01.2022 A tax effective investment is an investment where you pay less tax on income than your usual marginal tax rate or get a tax deduction for making the investment. However, it is still a secondary consideration. Your goals, comfort with risk and expected returns should help to form your investment strategy.
