24.01.2022 Deputy Mayor Greg Watson talks about how the closure of Scenic Drive has affected the local community

21.01.2022 Community Minded Without a doubt, Mark Kitchener is one of the most community-focused members in Council. From teacher to councillor he has been invested in the future of our community since he arrived in our area. Today Greg sat down to hear Mark's story.

20.01.2022 Major Selena Clancy (Ret) Selena Clancy is someone who certainly thrives on a challenge. As a 4th generation service person, putting the community first is in her DNA. After having a successful military career which covered a vast array of different assignments ranging from soldier, counter-terrorism, peace-keeping and after her career assisted with disaster relief operations. Selena now has her sights set on Shoalhaven council and her desire to serve and get things done for ...our community could not be stronger. Selena is by far one of the best candidates we've seen put their hand up for local government in a long time. Please watch to hear her story and come Sept 2021 vote 1 for Selena and the Shoalhaven Independents. #ourcommunity #shoalhaven #shoalhavenindependents2021 #makeadifference

19.01.2022 From Bob's notice of motion, we have seen action. The Sanctuary Point skate park was in need of an upgrade and with the support of the Shoalhaven Independents, the skate park has seen a facelift it so desperately needed. 17.01.2022 Lighthouse Walk What was once an accident waiting to happen in Ulladulla with the community working together we now have not only a solution but essential addition to the Ulladulla Lighthouse. 13.01.2022 SHOALHAVEN STIMULUS (Rescue) PACKAGE $17.5 MILLION to help the Shoalhaven. How does $300.00 sound? Yes, the State and Commonwealth governments have done their bit, but we as a community also need to be looking out for our own. This wasn’t easy there was a lot of objection to us achieving this, especially from The Greens. (As you can see in that part of the attached video.) ... But we perceived and got it done. As a community, we need to be stronger through this and as a community, we will get through it. #ourcommunity #shoalhaven #shoalhavenindpendents #stumulus

05.01.2022 We can have gala's We can have sponsored dinners We can have concerts and so, so much more. The Dunn Lewis Centre Ulladulla is a state of the art multi-use facility that the Shoalhaven is proud to have in its backyard. Built to honour the lives lost in the 2002 Bali Bombings it's a great statement of what can be done with a vision and a true testament the hard work and dedication of Gail Dunn. #Shoalhaven #Community #Ourcommunity

04.01.2022 The Pool Is Staying Open Ulladulla Sea Pool will now be open all winter. Mark Kitchener submitted a motion which was backed by the rest of the Shoalhaven Independents to keep the pool open over the winter months. While there was some resistance from certain Councillors we were persistent in making it happen as we see this as an opportunity to do all we can to support the community in helping to recover and get back to some normality after the current pandemic.
