24.01.2022 Draws for this week. (Sorry for the lateness) Everyone had a great time at sideout on the weekend. We came away with 2nd in the Men’s B, 3rd in the Ladies B, and 4th in the Men’s A!!!

Check our website to see if your team has qualified. If your 5th or 6th put in a special effort this week. It's still possible right. So here's the deal, if you play in the following competitions, you're playing Friday night: Monday, Open A, B, C & Mixed. Tuesday, Open, Mixed & 2-A-Side Premier Division B Thursday, 2-A-Side Div B If you don't know which competition, oh duh, check the ladder on the website. Its all there. Your team can't make it... really! OK, the next team gets a call-up, so be ready if you're just outside the top 4. Draw will come out Tuesday night, watch this space folks. Oh yeah did we tell you the bars open at the club for a drinkie to celebrate with your team afterward.... or before if you so desire. Could be interesting. So you play on Wednesday or Thursday night, we got you. Finals are being played on Saturday starting around 1pm. Draw will come out Friday night. Keep an eye out on our website folks. We'll be putting it on there so you can clearly see. It's a great time, drink plenty of water, cos you'll be playing more than one game. You don't get bragging rights for one game right. How goods this though, we only charge you for 1 game. If you make it, the Grand Final is on us. Oh yeah, Finals games are 2 x 20 min halves with continuous scoring. We figure you've graduated to longer halves by now. Not only bragging rights if you win the GF, we'll also give your whole team a medal. Plus .... a special prize, which you'll find out on the night/day. In the past, we've given out caps, beanies, water bottles, this time something different. The restaurant will be open inside too, chips, or yummy Malaysian food. So feel free to grab a quick bite between games. 21.01.2022 We often hear people say they would like to learn to play better. Well we've listened and here it is starting this week! We are offering coaching for adults and youth who want to get better at playing beach volleyball.... Maybe you haven’t played before and want to learn how before you start playing in a competition. This coaching is for you. Come and have some fun with us every Saturday and learn how to play beach volleyball.

Make sure you check the ladder regularly and if you can, try not to forfeit. Forfeiting means 0 points for that round and that can be the difference between making finals.

Maybe you would you like to see more of the season draw on our website as opposed to one game at a time?... Perhaps an updated ladder after each game as opposed to the end of the week. Go for broke, we'd love to see your comments, nothing off limits.

08.01.2022 Well, our kid's volleyball coaching is going mental on Friday afternoons. With QLD weather and great facilities, would you expect less? So, did you know beach volleyball is non-contact, inexpensive & great fun. Is it ticking boxes yet mum? What about the fact we have a structured program, yes they'll be learning something. Doesn't matter how big or strong the kids are, we focus on technique. How does $10 per child sit? Only $8 if you pay for 2 or more kids.... 04.01.2022 Are you one of THOSE people? You know, the ones who love to play beach volleyball in our different competitions. From the gentler open volleyball to the next level Triple Thr3at to the frantic 2-A-Side competition, some of you play 'em all. ... We love how some of you are playing 3 or 4x per week. You've caught onto how much fun it is. Watching some of you come off the court, its obvious you've had a full workout. Rebound beach volleyball really is the game you can play as hard as you want and still have great fun. We're grateful for the way our clubs been embraced after the COVID-19 layoff. So much so we owe all our customers a really big thankyou. Our last competition was played tonight and then we're off for the next two weeks. We'll be welcoming the competition back on Monday 4 Jan 21 exactly where we left off. If your team isn't able to come back on the 4th, please leave us a comment below and we'll amend the draw. Still, time to tell us you're coming to our break-up event tomorrow night, we start at 6:30pm, the bar will be open, we're putting on some plates of food and we intend to play some social volleyball weather permitting. If you are not sure how we allocate points here it is: We allocate 2 points for every set your team wins in both our regular completion and in Triple Thr3at. We allocate 1 point for a drawn set. We allocate 0 points for every lost set. These are called game points. In addition to game points we give ladder points. For every 10 points your team scores in a particular set you receive 1 point for the ladder. - for example, if a team reaches 36 points in the first set, 12 points in the second set and 8 points in the 3rd set. A team will receive 4 bonus points (3+1+0) If your team forfeits of course, your teams receives 0 points.
