17.01.2022 NEWS : last weekend for our little shoe shop 27th and 28th this Saturday and Sunday. Whats left now shoes $20 and $50. All boots left now $50. Accessories half price and we have some props and other items still left as well. Pop in and grab a last bargain and say a final goodbye. We also want to say thank you so much to everyone for all your support over the almost 13 years here in Scarborough. We have had so many laughs and fantastic memories we are forever grateful to all of you. If anyone has any pictures of moments of the past or favourite shoes feel free to share. 13.01.2022 "ANGER AND THREATS" For those that have been involved in meetings, open forums, action groups and so on, you will already be aware of the enormous amount of anger, trolls and desperation out in the community. Yes, everyone should be able to feel free and safe to share and express their beliefs and wishes for their community. We won't all agree on everything, but we can certainly be a lot better behaved about our responses. That hasn't been the case thus far, don't get me wron...g there has been a lot of good ideas and healthy debate as well. Increasingly this is being drowned out by people who have an "Agenda". Our community does NOT need to this. We don't want to hear that candidates are getting death threats and people are being bullied for trying to find out the truth about the candidates who have thrown their hat in the ring for this election on the 28th March. How do you get informed? For one, find out which division you actually fall within. The below is division five and six. Then, find out who the candidates are for your division. 11.01.2022 For me: I have crossed off anyone involved with commercial real estate, anyone involved with unions. Anyone who has made comments like "development is coming, we just have to accept that" Anyone that has a clear personal agenda. Anyone who is currently under investigation. So for me that has shortened the list a lot. I am looking for a Mayor that has the credentials to manage/project manage a large business but has little in the way of personal agendas. In my councillors I am looking for people who have been active in the area with families, charities, small business etc. A person/people who will not give up/in to the "business as usual" bullies out there. Someone honest and passionate about what matters, a balance in commercial development that will create long term employment whilst putting environment in every conversation.

03.01.2022 "COMMUNITY COMMUNICATION" Whilst this page is no longer an active business, but a watch this space, it is a pertinent avenue to communicate relevant information. We remain part of this community active in work, sports, family, friends and other groups. We love this place and I think it's important (especially now) to make sure we have the right people in our Local Government making quality decisions for our community. With this in mind, I am going to be sharing my findings and thoughts about who I think should be selected for our new Mayor and Councillors. It is just my opinion, for what it's worth. If this information does nothing more than get people involved and thinking about it, then that's a good thing. So here we go !
