17.01.2022 TM6 SOFTWARE UPDATE 2.2 - Coming in Mid January 2021. Isn’t it incredible how the TM6 just keeps getting smarter? We know you’re going to love the new smart cooldown feature that will be added to the TM6 via the next software update. It’s expected to roll out from 12 January, so to get you and your customers ready here’s everything you need to know. New Smart Cooldown... The cooldown function of the TM6 will soon be optimised with three different levels to help ensure food moves freely at the bottom of the bowl while cooking. * 0 second cooldown timer applies when cooking on less than 65 degrees or with quantities less than 500g in the bowl (e.g. sautéing) * 8 second cooldown timer applies when cooking between 65-95 degrees * 20 second cooldown timer applies when cooking above 95 degrees Note: There are a few variations to these levels so please see the examples provided below. The good news is that the cooldown time is now incorporated into the cooking time of guided cooking recipes and not added on top. This means it won’t impact on the cooking time of your recipes so you can keep whipping up delicious meals with no delays.Cooldown mode.PNG Smart cooldown applies to all manual and guided cooking recipes with the timer visible on the time dial. During cooldown, the time and temperature dials are greyed out. If you press the dial during a cooldown, it will stop the motor however the cooldown timer will continue to count down to zero before the locking arms are released. Here are a couple of examples to help demonstrate how this new feature will work. If you’re preparing a guided cooking recipe that cooks at 100 degrees for 20 minutes, the heating will stop at 19:40 and the cooldown timer will begin. The locking arms will open as the recipe completes its 20 minute cooking time. If you’re preparing the same recipe above but decide to reduce the cooking time to 10 minutes using the dial, the heating will stop and the 20 second cooldown timer will begin when you press the dial. The locking arms will open with 9:40 left on the timer. You can then choose to continue cooking with 9:40 on the timer or you can change the time. Some variations to look out for: No cooldown timer applies when sautéing small quantities in the mixing bowl, even though the temperature is greater than 95 degrees. When cooking manually, after stopping the Thermomix to add ingredients while cooking, the Smart Cooldown period that then applies when the Thermomix is stopped again will vary from 8-20 seconds, depending on the quantity and temperature of ingredients. Be sure to keep an eye out for the software update from 12th January and come along to your Branch Meeting on 18th January where we’ll recap how this latest smart connected feature works!
