15.01.2022 Merry Christmas from our home to yours What a year 2020 has been. I was telling a friend the other day how this year literally felt like January, February ......Pandemic...... November, December.... 2020 brought us so many challenges. I don’t know of anyone who was not adversely impacted in 2020. Fear, lockdowns, loss of jobs, civil unrest, postponed aspirations, cancelled holidays, cancelled birthdays, cancelled weddings, not being able to attend church in person, not being able to see and hug the necks of loved ones, not to mention the emotional and mental toll of social distancing (for all my extroverts out there, I’m sorry for your suffering) Yes it was a hard year. Yet the uncertainty of this unwelcome and forced pause brought with it the chance to stop, refocus, dig deeper and lean further into the One who hold our tomorrows - Jesus. 2020 gifted me so many precious memories, lessons and experiences I will carry for life. Having employment is a privilege. Being able to exercise religious freedom and serve Jesus openly is a privilege. Having good health and doing life with those we love is a privilege. Living in a country with good health care is a privilege. I rediscovered the contentment of playing board games with my hubby and talking till early hours in the morning. The simple joy of making cardboard forts and rolling around the living room floor with my toddle, playing jungle animals jungle chasing their prey - the way her eyes would light up as her smile spreads across her face and reveals her deep set dimple. She would crinkle her nose and yell MOOOOORE Mama while squealing with delight. This will forever be etched my heart’s memory. I learnt to be more intentional with my time. As we say goodbye to 2020 and await to arrival of 2021, things are no longer clearer or certain than they were at the beginning of the year, but I know I can walk into the future confident that Jesus is already there and that makes all the difference . . . #aseda #jesus #christ #scripture #muslinwrap #inspiration #muslin #blanket #baby #christian #bible #besties #forthischildihaveprayed #blessing #thanksgiving #christmascheer #christmas #December
