24.01.2022 More rainbows were a little obsessed here at the Lilee house These ones were made recently to hang up at a wonderful playgroup Master Lilee and I attend. It was such a fun craft activity which kept the kids engaged (quiet!) for a couple of hours Were going to have to do this one more often We also added strips of rain to finish it off

24.01.2022 I admit, Miss Lilee is better at applying makeup than me She talks about blending colours like her face is a work of art. She started with some orange face paint which I thought was a bit like a bad fake tan, but then she blended in some pink blush and ended up with a lovely shimmery, dewy shine. I was impressed! She then applied blue eyeshadow and some lip balm. The No Nasties Kids makeup range is a safe alternative to other makeup marketed to kids! It really is a great time when theyre young to educate them on what ingredients are in the products that theyre putting on their face and body. To be discerning about what they buy. If your kids are attracted to makeup, please dont buy it from a dollar shop, help them make good choices from the start

21.01.2022 My last little Ollie Ella minichari bag is packaged up and ready to go to its lucky recipient I absolutely love these baskets, not only are they cute but they have so many uses for little ones for pretend play and storing treasures I have had my eye on one of their adult sized luggy baskets for a while now. I figure when I stop having a kids stroller to put things on when Im shopping, this will be a great alternative Hope you love it little one

Sleepy Time room spray - smells beautiful, with a blend of essential oils that work like a charm to send the little ones off to sleep calmly. Shoo! I usually give the room a good spray when I’m changing the sheets, especially over... the mattresses and pillows. 19.01.2022 We had a go at some salt dough Easter decorations. Admittedly I overcooked the dough but the kids painted them to cover it up. Good jobs kids #eastercraftsforkids

19.01.2022 One of this weeks projects was homemade bath bombs. We used a recipe by The Inspired Little Pot which is really very simple The only thing I didnt have, and couldnt get my hands on at the shops, was citric acid. Why is everyone hoarding critic acid Anyway, I ended up having to get quite a large bag online, so I guess well be making a lot of bath bombs now The kids got excited about mixing all the ingredients in the bowl, but one thing Ive found about my kids lat...ely is that they hate getting their hands dirty, literally! Not sure if its all the extra hand washing, but they seem to have a sensitivity about have mucky hands. So I had to get into the mixture to give it a good squeeze. Then they spooned it into the moulds. We left them to dry overnight and put them out in the sun in the morning for a bit of extra hardening. The fishies unfortunately didnt end up working that well, we only got a couple out of the mould whole We popped a couple in the bath tonight and they fizzled nicely, the kids were so happy that theyd made them themselves too https://theinspiredlittlepot.com.au/recip/fizzy-bath-bombs/

15.01.2022 Weve been trying to do some painting or craft or baking every afternoon. Apart from our walk together in the morning, its the best part of the day. Getting creative together really works for our little team!! The kids got really into making these colourful cookies (dough c/o @popolatepops ). 11.01.2022 Ive been a tad obsessed with the Buyfromthebush and @onedayclosertorain campaigns supporting rural Australian communities doing it tough with drought and/or fires. There are so many fabulous small makers out there that Ive only come across because of these campaigns (small businesses run on little to no marketing budgets to get their product out to the wider public!). I thought Id share a few things that Ive bought... First up, I stumbled upon this gorgeous handmade makeup brand Wondery Skin Food Everything is hand made by Louise, with the cleanest ingredients. So happy with my purchase of the Nudie Nutmeg loose mineral powder It has only a few ingredients - arrowroot, nutmeg, cocoa and mica. Ill definitely be going back for more

10.01.2022 Well we ended up having two milestones today... one birthday and a first tooth lost I have been dreading the wobbly teeth tbh I can catch vomit in my hands and clean up poop but wobbly teeth get me all light headed I have tried to keep away from the snaggle tooth protruding from Miss Lilees gum, so when it started to bleed this morning I knew it was on its way out! And so it did, at recess apparently. Then it was lost........ Im pretty happy actually that she lost it otherwise I would have felt some strange compulsion to keep it, even though it would make me want to vomit So as it was lost shes put a little note in her @littlecustomcreations tooth fairy pillow to tell the fairy to go look for it in the school playground Lets see how generous the tooth fairys feeling

I will literally burn out if I try to do all the things! I think its healthy for me and for my business to set new goals that are achievable, rather than stretching myself too thin. 09.01.2022 Gees it’s been a while! I’ve been AWOL due to moving house From putting our house on the market to actually moving has been mentally and physically exhausting, and even though we’re not quite finished yet, I’m feeling a lot more settled. One good thing about moving is being able to have a good cleanse of ‘stuff’. The kids have SO much and even though it’s still a work in progress, I’ve been able to rehome some items and pull out a few new things I had waiting in the wings! I’ve been busting to get Master Lilee into the gorgeous rainbow by Array of Whimsy being the lover of rainbows that he is Kept him busy for a good chunk of time whilst I did some unpacking

Some days Im exhausted, but the kids just have to do one those cute things kids do and it makes me feel energised This morning I was treated to a Maccas breakfast. 03.01.2022 I couldnt get the right light to really show you how gorgeous these makeup brushes are IRL! I especially love the mermaid tail ones, and the rainbow colours Master Lilee stole a makeup brush from his little BFF this week (which reminds me I still have it in my bag ). He loves just rubbing them on his face must be a sensory thing. So basically you dont need makeup for this brushes, theyre just a great distraction for a 3 year old Before you ask, yes he will be getting one as a Christmas present...

02.01.2022 Today was the last day of school at home. Im not calling it home based learning because isnt everything you do at home learning? School at home has been challenging to say the least. With a primary schooler that requires help and a preschooler ready to distract the flow at any given moment, its tested my resolve Cant say Ill be sad that the school part is over. Getting a kid motivated to learn school stuff is not on my resume, and never will be I will however miss ...all the other stuff weve done together as a family over the last however many weeks (whos counting...). Weve always been a family that spends a lot of time together, you could never say were over scheduled! But the extra time that weve spent together has been amazing. Weve learned to get on with each, be patient with each other, do things collaboratively, recognise each others emotions and respond in appropriate ways, weve learned each others likes and dislikes, and weve loved each other HARD!! Im going to miss the extra bonding weve got out of this crazy situation. Next week will be the start of the road back to what we were doing before this all began. Well be taking it slow so that we can keep lots of our new normal as we go See more

Im trying so hard not to get caught up in the negative, especially for the sake of the kids. But its exhausting! Every thought and every conversation is consumed by the virus. Its literally got us, even if we havent got it!! Im so in love with my rainbow slippers. They make me feel so happy in a stressed out world!
