25.01.2022 June 2020 Photograph Competition The competition this month is photographs of Pink Snapper, both land and boat caught. The third category is any fish. Pink Snapper - Land Based... Pink Snapper - Boat Based Any Species - Land or Boat The fish must be captured using our products, with explanation. Entries can be lodged in any way to get to us (as a comment on this post, a direct message to the page, a visitor post on the page, an email to [email protected] or a text to 0408 772 082). Photographs will be assessed by independent judges. It is the quality of the photograph, not the size of the fish, that will be judged. A $50 shop voucher is the prize for each category. Initial entries are attached for information, and we will provide weekly updates to our page with photographs as received. As mentioned previously, it is the XL southern garfish season at the moment and there is currently a good supply from market. We sort, grade, v...acuum seal in long life bags and freeze the fish straight so that they are a premium product with a freezer life exceeding a year. If you are planning future trips, now is a good time to get the garfish as the season generally ends in early spring and there is no supply from that point on. We also have good supply of our freshly frozen high quality baits including octopus, mulies direct from the fisherman, scalies, herring, whiting and mullet of all size classes. 24.01.2022 Shore Catch Octopus Market Fresh Food Grade Bait Shore Catch is currently refreshing its brand and will use an octopus as part of this exercise see attached draft logo. Prior to formally launching the new brand, we thought we would show why our octopus is as good as you can buy anywhere. We source our octopus fresh from the food grade fish market. We know the fisherman, who delivers personally to the market, takes very good care of his catch as do AJ Langfords. We buy ...at auction, and then immediately ice the product further as everyone knows what happens to octopus if it gets warm. It is transported cold back to our processing facility in Wangara where we deal with it without delay. We generally cut the octopus in half, vacuum seal and individually freeze each bag. The bags are then graded as <1kg or >1kg and are priced according to weight. We are very proud of the quality of our bait octopus and enjoy seeing the catches of our customers using the product. Please feel free to come in to the shop and have a look at this, and our range of high quality bait and burley products that are made and packed on site. 21.01.2022 Cray Heads & Shells Crush Up Further Information Thank you for the excellent response to our offer to crush up cray waste to make burley products for no charge that you can take home. A reminder that the nominated days are Saturday 5 December and Saturday 19 December between 9.30am and 2pm. We set out below some further information prior to the events.... 1. You are encouraged to book a time. If you don’t book you are more than welcome to attend on the day but you may have to wait until a time slot becomes available. 2. We will operate from the rear of our shop as shown in the attached photograph. There is plenty of parking at our premises so just drive into 65 Buckingham Drive Wangara. 3. You should bring the frozen products in a container(s) that you intend to take the crushed/minced product away in. The intention is to place the crays into the mixer/mincer (100L capacity) and then mince directly back into your container. We will not supply bags or pack the product for you. 4. The process should take no more than 5 minutes, as the 3-phase double motor commercial mincer is very efficient. 5. We have a wash down bay and a hose will be available for you to clean your containers before transport in your vehicle. 6. Coffee and BBQ products will be available for purchase from our neighbor, The European Café. We hope you take advantage of our offer to process waste into a useful product, and look forward to seeing you.

21.01.2022 Brand Shirt Design The images show a draft fishing shirt design that we will locally make for retail sale. We are seeking any comment on the design prior to further refinement. The shirts are expected to retail at $55. We will be giving away 3 shirts to customers that come into our shop and enter the draw. The draw will run until the shirts are made in early December, and any pre-orders will also be accepted.... Shore Catch produces shirts for many applications and attached for information is the final shirt design for the PHGFC Pil Barra Tournament, to be held in Port Hedland on 21/22 November 2020.

20.01.2022 Final Results June 2020 Photo Competition The judges have voted and we had a clear winner for Pink Snapper (Beach), a tie for Pink Snapper (Boat) and a hotly contested Any Species. Congratulations to Chris Apress, Aaron Bamford, Brad Lamb and Clinton Brown for winning the June $50 shop credit. For the Pink Snapper (Boat) category that was tied, we decided to issue the prize to both worthy winners. Our photograph competition is about the quality of the photo and the judges... consider carefully fish presentation, overall nature of the photo and the merits of the capture. All entries were excellent, and we thank our valued customers for participation. The winning and runner-up photos are presented below. Given how lucky we are to be able to travel around our great State, the July 2020 competition is any Fish caught at or north of Kalbarri, and any fish caught south of Kalbarri. 16.01.2022 Thank you to those that attended to crush up their waste cray heads and shells today. The video shows the process in action, and the product is a high grade burley additive. A reminder that we will be holding another free crush up day on Saturday 19 December between 9.30am and 2pm for those that would like to freeze the heads and bring them in. The process is very efficient and your batch, if you bring it in correctly, should only take a couple of minutes - there is no need to book, just turn up during the available time. The only allowable material for processing is waste cray heads and shells. You should bring the frozen material in containers that ...you intend to take the crushed/minced product away in - we will mince directly back into your container. 11.01.2022 New Product - Mixed Drone Pack Based upon feedback from valued customers we have made up a new and unique product for retail sale. The mixed bait bag contains 3 mullet, 3 herring and 2 Shark Bay arrow squid. This mixture was developed through consultation with experienced drone fishers and the fish is premium market "food grade" quality. Bag weights are between 1.2kg and 1.3kg and have a price of $15.... Subject to customer demand, this product will be available in the longer term. Should anyone have ideas about other potential new products that would be valued, please talk to us.

10.01.2022 Shore Catch Monthly Photograph Competition It is excellent to see so many customers proudly showing their photographs of quality fish caught using our products. It is a very regular occurrence, so we are running a monthly competition with different categories and prizes of shop credits (4 x $50 awards). The four categories are:... Land Based (Casting) Land Based (Drone) Boat Based Boat Based (Vexed Bottom Meat) Photographs will be judged based on in-shop customer feedback on the photographs that will be named and displayed using a slideshow on our wall screen. A customer voting system will be used. 08.01.2022 Cray Heads & Shells Crush Up Given the impending whites run, Shore Catch is offering an opportunity for our customers to crush/mince up cray heads and shells for use as a burley additive. We have an industrial mincer that makes very short work of the heads, and there is no charge for the service. The nominated days are Saturday 5 December and Saturday 19 December between the hours of 9.30am and 2pm at our premises in Wangara. Volume is limited to 100L per person, you need... to bring containers for the product, the crays need to be frozen and/or not off, and there are to be no plastic bags. We hope this initiative reduces waste to landfill and provides a valuable burley product for you to take home.

03.01.2022 Extra Large Garfish The extra large garfish run at the fresh fish market has started earlier this season, with numbers coming in fairly regularly. We have fulfilled our existing orders and now have some availability, or can take additional orders. All our garfish are graded by size (3, 4, 5, 6, 6+ per kilogram), vacuum sealed in long lasting bags and immediately snap frozen straight. We look after the fish, and package them properly to ensure a premium product when used. T...he fish have a freezer life of up to two years. As mentioned previously, it is the XL southern garfish season at the moment and there is currently a good supply from market. We sort, grade, vacuum seal... in long life bags and freeze the fish straight so that they are a premium product with a freezer life exceeding a year. If you are planning future trips, now is a good time to get the garfish as the season generally ends in early spring and there is no supply from that point on.
