27.04.2022 T H A N K Y O U Spike Neumann You are a freaking legend . $2,500 will go such a long way & help our Balinese/Indonesian brothers & sisters. ... . When I posted a pic of a painting (with Dean Morrison DINGO as my model) to sell & donate to Project Nasi, I honestly didn’t expect to generate a huge sum, especially as everyone’s doing it tough at present, but it was from my heart & I put it out there & hoped for the best . . Then Spike contacts me & says he’d like to buy the artwork, he said ‘would $500 cover it?’ I said OMG that’s amazing & I actually had a few tears & overwhelming happiness to be able to give back to Bali. He then asked a little about Project Nasi as he hadn’t heard of it & I explained it was Gaz, myself & Dingos (Dean Morrison’s) good mates of many years - Sam Mahony & Nyoman Sumastra WINNI/ WINCHESTER from Legian & Team of Volunteers, expats, locals & all the crew from Padmah Boardriders, doing such a great job helping those less fortunate & all the $$$ going direct to the people. Also helping the local economy using local suppliers & local warungs to cook up NASI JINGO (a takeaway rice meal in banana leaf) to hand out to the hungry. Spike says OK make it $2,500 Then I really started crying tears of joy. It’s not the first time Spike has jumped in without being asked & helped out friends & others in real times of hardship. I asked him if it was Ok to tell you all of his kindness & he agreed as it might encourage other good people to help out with this messed up COVID19 situation in Bali. With almost everyone relying on the tourism dollar to get by & now many finding it tough to feed their families ( there is NO FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE from Govt given to anyone) $10 can feed a family of 4 for 4 days, rice, noodles, eggs, green veg, chilli, garlic, soap & masks. MATUR SUK SOMER (massive thanks) to SPIKE NEUMAN to Sam, Winni, & the huge Team of volunteers in Bali helping, to Dean ‘Dingo’ Morrison for the photo shoot, to everyone who shared my post & those who were interested in buying the artwork also to Junko Nakamura Kathryn Leeuwendal Suzy Condon Jed Avery & Aunty Elsie Mills, who have kindly donated to PROJECT NASI also I have so much gratitude & have seen so many good people doing good things to help others in so many different ways during these crazy unprecedented times of COVID 19 - KINDNESS RULES Stay safe everyone Ngyong di Rumah Suk Somer mbok Jenny

22.04.2022 Our Coach @tara_andreani flew to NZ with @taylor_john93 for a wedding now 5 weeks later they have been in full lockdown since. Fitness tips from across the Pacific ‘Hey it’s Tara from @surfingservicesaustralia and I’d like to share with you guys my little routine during this lockdown. I walk everyday on the beach for an hour (feeling really lucky to be able to do that) and then do some Yoga and Pilates exercises twice a day. I use Alo Moves and FitOn apps that help me with ...my improvements. Yoga & Pilates help me to improve my surfing as it strengthen and tone my body (mostly the core that’s the most important part of your body as it maintains a good posture), and help me to improve a good balance as well. Weather you’re at home or nearby the beach you could always find a time to practice yoga, it’s good for your soul during this hard time ’ Tara

24.01.2022 Life is so fast-paced and it can be difficult to get a break from reality, but there’s no better feeling than being in the ocean and letting time freeze while you catch a breathe.

23.01.2022 Can you imagine not being allowed to surf along our beautiful coastline? Neither can we. As Queenslanders, we all need to use our common sense and do our part ...in keeping our beaches safe and open. Please listen to Council and Government guidelines. If people are still seen doing the wrong thing, we will LOSE THE PRIVILEGE OF SURFING. If you know of someone doing the wrong thing, don't be afraid to call them out. #SpreadOutOrGetOut See more
