23.01.2022 The last course of the year with Elliott Orr at West End! 7 weeks is a great course length, the class will be really tight by the end when the performance happens. Classes also on Thursday night, just check out the Talkin' the Drum Facebook page for details. :)

22.01.2022 We're cancelling this month's drum circle due to the 3 day lockdown taking effect today at 6:00 pm. Hopefully we can get together some time soon. Stay safe everyone, be kind to each other and yourself, and please wear a mask if you go outside.

21.01.2022 Just a quick note to let you know that Shorncliffe Drum Circle still exists, we are just having an enforced break due to the COVID-19 situation. We love the community that we have all collectively built and we really miss our drum circles. However, Teena and I feel that limiting the gatherings among different groups of people is an important measure at the moment. There are a lot of examples of how quickly things can go bad and the consequences can range from inconvenience to extremely serious. We want to do our part in lowering everyone's risk, so we will continue to postpone our next drum circle until we feel comfortable that the benefits outweigh the risks. We hope everyone and their loved ones are healthy, happy and safe.

17.01.2022 The event originally scheduled for today, October 12 will not go ahead due to this lovely rain. We'll make a decision soon whether we postpone or cancel. Either way it won't be happening today.

16.01.2022 We highly recommend the African drumming classes run by Elliott Orr at South Brisbane. 6 week courses start soon on either a Wednesday or Thursday night (or both if you're super keen!). You don't have to sign up for the whole course, you can just dip your toe in to the first night and see how you go. Classes are really fun, with a lovely welcoming vibe. No previous experience needed and hire drums are available if you don't have your own.

03.01.2022 We would love to squeeze in a drum circle this month, possibly Saturday December 19 at 4:30 pm. We will keep watching the weather forecast and make a decision later in the week. IF we go ahead we will create an event. Fingers crossed!
