18.01.2022 Important information about novel coronavirus (COVID-19) - Queensland All Hospitals outside Greater Brisbane: Visitors who have been in Greater Brisbane on or after 2 January 2021, must not enter the hospital until 18:00 on Monday 11 January 2021. Staff, contractors, law enforcement, or those required for court or tribunal hearings exempt.... Other exemptions include a person who: - is a parent or caregiver of a patient who is a child; or - is visiting a patient of the hospital being provided pregnancy or maternity-related care; or - is a disability support worker or informal carer to a patient of the hospital with a disability who requires support; or - other patients that the operator of the hospital believes is necessary to have visitors for emergency or other compassionate grounds Other than the restriction to visitors from Greater Brisbane, there is no limit on the number of visitors or duration of the visit. (click here for more information) Victorian Visitors to Queensland Hospitals Due to the recent COVID-19 cluster in Victoria, visitors to Queensland hospitals that have been in Victoria since 21 December 2020 and it has been less than 14 days since the person left Victoria, are not allowed to enter a hospital facility unless the person obtains a negative COVID-19 test in Queensland. The operator of the hospital may require evidence of the negative COVID-19 test before allowing entry to the hospital.
