20.01.2022 EXHIBITION EVENT It has been a delight to have had the opportunity to create a photographic study of the resident wildlife and natural world at Webb’s Dam, H.V. Evatt Park in Lugarno, NSW over these past three years. We often don’t realize the amazing natural attributes that are readily accessible in our own suburban areas. The diversity of Australian flora and fauna that is literally right under our noses. We are so fortunate, even in our busy cities, to still have the oppor...tunity to interact with so much nature. This has been my first wildlife documentary project and I have been surprised at the quantity and diversity of creatures that I have come across in such a small suburban ecosystem. I hope that you will all come and join me on Saturday July 11th, 2:30-5pm for the opening of the exhibition entitled THE WILD: WEBB'S DAM. At the same time I will launch my book of the same title, which features 132 pages of colour images of the wildness that is found at Webb's Dam. See more

19.01.2022 My exhibition opening, THE WILD: WEBB'S DAM and book launch happened last Sunday, at the Hurstville Museum Gallery and it was amazing. It runs til August 2nd, so there is still time to catch it. A HUUUUUGE thank you to all who came and made it a spectacular day. It was an honour to have a chat and to be able to give a short presentation about how the work came about and what it meant to me to capture all this incredible wildlife in our tiny suburban wetland. Prints are available for sale (see Room Sheet) and if you would like a signed copy of the hard cover book I can arrange that, too.

10.01.2022 It’s begun.... I knew I would enjoy photographing people’s beloved fur-babies. 30kg of muscle coming at you with a loaded tongue aimed at licking you within an inch of your life. Benny is a gorgeous Husky with alternate coloured eyes (bi-eyed). Only 15% of Huskies have this feature. I thoroughly enjoyed working with him to capture his spirit.

07.01.2022 Thank you to EVERY single person who honoured me by attending my exhibition and book launch back in August. It was a fabulous experience and I have to give a huge thank you to Georges River Council because without their major support neither my book nor the exhibition would have happened. I was humbled by the support of my family, friends and industry colleagues who all made the three week exhibition experience an absolute success. Since The Wild: Webbs Dam exhibition finishe...d back in August I have been working on a commercial project, a startup business concept called VANITY FUR. It is a new business idea based on a combination of my love for nature and animals. As we haven’t been able to travel this past year and the wider community have been doing more exercise with their pets in ISO, just to get out of the house, it gave me the idea to memorialize our pets in a unique way. They give us such emotional and mental support and Ive been told so often by people that I didn’t have a really nice photo of my fella before it passed. The response to my idea has been to produce a wide smile and a ..Ive got to have my **insert your pets name here** in a framed print like this. Its awesome!! So I am up and running and available for VANITY FUR photo shoots of your beloved fur baby. Wish me luck and thanks for all your support of whatever crazy ideas I come up with. See more

05.01.2022 Hi! Well we're another week closer to my exhibition which starts on July 12th and goes til August 2nd at Hurstville Museum and Gallery in Sydney. I just received my prints back from the framer, they look amazing and its getting very real, fast! I hope that sometime during the 3 weeks of the exhibition you'll all be able to come and see it. This week my book was also finally published and delivered. Its been an exciting week. Its all starting to come together. Copies of the book are available now for immediate shipping. 02.01.2022 I’ve been working on the promotion and marketing of my new business venture Vanity Fur Pet Photography. I’d like to shout out a huge THANK YOU to businesses that have embraced my concept and are really backing me and helping me to get my service in front of the right audience. Lugarno Deli and Cafe. Rita Katsianis has allowed me to hang a series of framed prints showing off my Vanity Fur masthead framed prints and plenty of my shiny new advertising booklets. Lisa, our wonder...ful pet groomer has also given me permission to adorn her salon walls with framed Vanity Fur prints showing off my unique creative photography style of pets on a magazine cover. As well Blakehurst Vet who has recently built an amazing new state of the art vet surgery on King Georges Rd has given me free reign to use their reception walls as my own Vanity Fur promotional gallery. So to all these partner businesses id like to say a mighty thank you for being prepared to give me a hand to promote my little business idea through the strength of your businesses. It very cool of you to see how we can help each other. This week I did a photography session with a family of 4 dogs (pics to follow in next post) and im also working on a VF framed print working from photographs provided by a family who recently lost their two lovely fur babies. Yes, if you only have photos of a lovely pet who has passed it’s still possible to commemorate and immortalise them with a Vanity Fur framed cover print. Here’s a few pics of the installations.
