03.01.2022 CELEBRATING 453 Episodes!!!!! ! So, this week, my syndicated radio program; SHOWCASE AUSTRALIA celebrates 9 years on air. Originally, I was invited by Country Music Radio Nashville to produce a weekly Australian segment. It was one of the hardest things I have ever done ... since shortly after I said yes to the job, I was diagnosed with stage III cancer and so had chemo treatment that lasted 36 hours every fortnight for the next six months. BUT, I persevered - even with ch...emo brain. Some nights on the treatment week, I could hardly string words together to make coherent sentences, so there was a lot of editing involved in the voice overs. There still is, as a matter of fact and to be honest, I still have negative associations with producing my program. Those of you who know me, also know I don't roll over and give in easily, so today, I celebrate around 453 episodes after missing three programs when my family needed me and my computer died ... since 2018, I have also been giving myself a little time off over the summer holidays to refresh and re-kindle my enthusiasm and spirits. That said, those of you who know me, also know I am a big believer in the adage; 'A rising tide lifts all boats', so I look forward to bringing you another year of Aussie country music, and hopefully a new website one day!!
