25.01.2022 It’s with great sadness that we share with you the passing of Catherine (Cathy) Pink last Saturday night. We will be having a funeral at the cemetery in Mullumbimby @ 11am( NSW TIME)on Friday the 20/11/2020 and then refreshments at the Mullumbimby RSL club afterwards. You need a Border pass to re enter QLD and keep in mind the time is one hour earlier then QLD.

25.01.2022 The funeral service for Barbara Trevor will be held at the Mt Gravatt cemetery and crematorium (582 Mains Rd, Macgregor QLD 4109) on Wednesday 30/09/2020 at 2pm Followed by the wake at The Showman’s Club (4 Turner Avenue, Yatala QLD 4207) Due to COVID 19 The Mt Gravatt Crematorium have limited numbers restriction us to 100 people being able to attend (50 inside the chapel and 50 outside the chapel) ... Please comment on this post or direct message Kyra Wood (who will be taking care of this) with The names and contact details of each person attending the service. Upon arriving to the service everyone will need to sign in with the funeral director. For those not being able to attend, we will be running a live stream. Looking forward to seeing you all there so we can honour and celebrate my beautiful grandmothers life.

17.01.2022 Hi Guys just and update. we are getting great feed back from our show societies Caroline from Tully is looking forward to 2021 with the new Grand stand to showcase and working with what ever the restrictions are that is in place. Judith from Oakey is cautiously looking forward to 2021.... Lani from Bellingen is keen to try and have the May show but is not committing until January 2021. Bonnie from Bowen is looking forward to the show being as normal as 2019 provided restrictions are lifted. So i will keep you posted as we receive replies. regards Shelley

15.01.2022 Hello again We have a projector in our hall already to go we just need to put it on a USB and start. We are looking to have our projector in the guild hall have a rolling photo and Family history of our people, so we are asking for you all our families and members to email us photos and stories so we can add to a USB and play it for all who visit our hall to see. It will be a working progress I’m hoping to have interviews and stories of how our industry and life works and... all we have achieved Through the war time our grand parents stories, Who built what rides and games and what has been done in our community over the years,our school and so much more so Please send us as much information as you can so we can get the ball rolling as soon as possible. 15.01.2022 Hi Everyone, Because we're unable to have a funeral for Mervyn Ashton due to COVID, Bekki & Peppi had a service in Townsville under the Infamous Big top last week and yesterday we had lunch in Springfield QLD to remember their Dad Mervyn Ashton We had about 50 people from different circus families join us. 05.01.2022 THE SHOW WILL GO ON Shows are set to return in early 2021 with the NSW Government announcing COVID safe guidelines that will allow locals and visitors to once again attend country shows. Our shows have a proud local tradition that the community looks forward to every year and the green light to bring this cherished event back is great news.... Much of our region is in drought recovery for the first time in years so by holding the show once again our farmers will have the opportunity to showcase everything from the amazing food and fibre they grow to their prize winning bulls or family jam recipe. The show is one of the most important social events on our calendar and draws crowds from across the region, giving local businesses exposure and keeping money flowing through our town - and I have no doubt it will give our towns a much needed boost. Shows can go ahead from January 2021 with up to 5,000 people able to attend at any given time. Country shows are the beating heart of regional communities and visiting a show is one of the highlights of living in the bush. Shows boost business and community spirit and it is important that people can enjoy these events safely and responsibly. We’ve done the hard work and deserve to enjoy ourselves, however I must stress that it will be essential for both organisers, and attendees to follow guidelines as the last thing we want is outbreaks in regional towns. Organisers will have to complete a COVIDSafe Event Plan, and ensure social distancing at venues, controlled access at entry points to minimise crowding and a limit to the number of attendees depending on venue size with one person per 4 square metres. Organisers are encouraged to use the Service NSW COVIDSafe QR codes to enable safe management of crowd numbers and contact tracing. The NSW Government is working with the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW to explore options for the 2021 Sydney Royal Easter Show.
