Also on offer are bread bags, toiletries, blankets and pantry items whatever we have collected and have been donated through the week. Our team of beautiful volunteers work so hard behind the lines, keeping what we do every week and I'm so grateful from the bottom of my heart for all your dedication and help. Your Donation has assisted us directly to help the many people in need experiencing homelessness and domestic violence. These items are handed out on our Monday Mealz @ Labrador Community Centre. Every Monday we supply a hot takeaway dinne...r and a helping hamper filled with your donations, knife, fork, spoon, serviette, toiletries and pantry items. It’s so important to give our disadvantaged community some care, dignity and hope. To give something we think so small to someone could mean so much more to others. Also STW have been gifted 10 ladies handbags filled with ladies sanitary items and toiltries. These handbags are waiting for a $10 secret Santa gift to be placed inside and will be handed out on our Christmas EveEve Dinner at Labrador Community Centre on the 21December if anyone would like to donate just $10 this will be turned into a secret Santa gift for the men women and children on the Gold Coast that will not have anything this Christmas. 05.01.2022 Show The Way continues to keep our doors open providing ready made meals and everyday necessities to our homeless and the many men, women and children experiencing severe hardship on the Gold Coast. Even though our main source of fundraising was ceased in March due to Covid-19. Show The Way is super excited to announce our next fundraiser sausage sizzle is back Saturday19 September 2020 supported by Arundel Bunnings. Fundraising is so important to our day to day operations... of our non profit organisation, this goes towards the purchase of essentially food/meats so that our beautiful street friends get a regular well balanced home cooked meal everyone needs and deserves. We also help with sourcing temporary accommodation/housing for people in difficult emergency situations, then what we have over for that week we can purchase extra toiletries, tea/coffee, snacks, containers, cutlery, pantry items to put together Helping Hamper Care Packs. The cost involved to put together a Monthly Sausage Sizzle is $500. Sausages and Drinks is $400 the last $100 is needed for Bread, Onions, Sauces, Napkins, Gloves, Ice, Paper Towels etc. These 5 beautiful hand picked volunteers make it a fun day cooking up a delicious snag for you. 01.01.2022 Look at what Susie from Mumma Susies Kitchen donated yesterday for our friends in need. Your awesome donation of fruit and vegetables is such a great help, these were handed out last night on our MONDAY MEALZ Community Dinners to individuals and struggling families who desperately need our support.. Mumma Susie showed up on my door step a few weeks ago with 10kgs of beef this was such an amazing help, we cooked this all up into a delicious cauldron casserole to help the m...any vulnerable men, women and children who are experiencing homelessness needing food and essential everyday items every week. Monday nights alone Show The Way hand out over 100 hot takeaway dinners starting from Labrador Community Centre along the Broadwater to Sundale, some nights we run out of hot meals. The rest of week is filled with organising food parcels and essential items to many beating hearts in our local community who are desperately struggling.
