18.01.2022 Off to present to one of the biggest gyms in South East Brisbane about our Shredding For The Wedding Program. Don’t let the smile fool you, I’m quietly ’ing my pants. The anticipation to an event is always the most nerve racking part, but what I’ve learnt from experience is once the public speaking event is currently happening, it’s not scary anymore... It’s not as bad as I imagined it would be... It’s just that our bodies seriously don’t know how to identify the difference... between feeling nervous and excited about an event so the lead up can make us feel sick with nerves instead of jumping with joy I still have to constantly remind myself of that fact... So to remind me of that I remember what my father in law once said to me, you can only do your best and your best is enough and that’s currently being repeated in my head over over like a broken record! Wish me luck team!

14.01.2022 ZOE & LEIGH’S COUNTRY VICTORIAN WEDDING POSTED IN Real Weddings Zoe and Leigh have known each other for an age. So long, in fact, that Zoe recalls Leigh trying to hook up with her when they were both teenagers. After a romantic proposal on a family trip to the Grampians Zoe walked down the aisle in a super sweet Rue de Seine gown. Lens lady Tanya Voltchanskaya was there to capture the ‘wedfest’ vibes. Scroll down for the details... THE VENUE We love Leigh’s parent’s property, it’s just such a beautiful property and there is so much love there, we wouldn’t have it anywhere else. DIY A lot of it we built like our Bar Caravan The Rambler. We also built the tables, the bench seats, we made the barn curtains, foraged flowers did the styling and floral arrangements and had friends help with the grazing table. THE DRESS My dress is by Rue de Seine, the Raven. I had looked in a few bridal shops, but for the relaxed festival style wedding we wanted I just felt it didn’t fit so the Raven was perfect. LITTLE LOLS Asking the bridesmaid Rachy to grab limes to find out she spent $50 on limes! Doesn’t sound funny, but it was hilarious. The groom busting his signature drunk moves on the dance floor (usually a pretty shy guy) was another great moment. Also, dropping a pizza down the front of my wedding dress trying to pass it to Leigh. WE’RE GLAD WEgot food trucks as it added to the festival vibe. I’m also glad Leigh’s Mum Mitzi came through with the goods She had been cooking and freezing sausages rolls to bring out when everyone was still partying in the early hours of the morning Good on ya Mitzi!!! STANDOUT VENDORS When I first met Tanya and showed Leigh her work, we were so happy to have chosen her to capture our day. She didn’t disappoint we had the best time getting snapped by her! She just made the time go so fast, no boring cringy posing, just a completely relaxed and natural vibe! She understood us and we loved it So by far our favourite decision! We did also love both Tim and Lisa duo and The Medley Boys!

13.01.2022 It was 8 weeks out from our wedding day... And I vividly remember starring into the mirror thinking to myself, "how did I get like this?" Panic stations set in... ... I didn’t want to be called Bridezilla stressing about my body, the planning blah blah blah so I went on a quest to find something else to help me shred for our wedding day. Hi, my name’s alisha Fernandez and a few years ago, I was just like you. With my wedding day fast approaching I decided it was time to go on a diet. And after only 3 days in I couldn’t take it anymore. The healthy food I was eating tasted gross and daily meal prep was driving me crazy. Sound familiar? So I scrolled Pinterest and found some recipes that actually tasted somewhat decent There was hope! Until I stepped on the scales and nothing had budged. I wasn’t seeing results! And with our wedding in only 30 daysI was running out of time. At that moment, the wedding gods must have been watching over me. That or my sister in law. You see she saw how stressed I was about my body so she recommended a step-by step program that had worked for her that didn’t involve, crazy exercise routines, eating rabbit food and or tedious meal prepping. Fast forward to our wedding day and I was so thrilled that my dress fitted exactly as I envisioned, I felt energized throughout the lead up to the wedding and on the day and was beyond confident to step into my honeymoon bikini. And... yup my husband couldn’t keep his hands off me Success! But it wasn’t until some of my friends asked me for help with their own wedding shredding, that I realised there were others struggling with the exact same thing as me. 02.01.2022 ELLE-MAY & CHRISTIAN’S SUNSHINE COAST WEDDING POSTED IN Real Weddings There is nothing like a super cute creative couple to make our hearts happy over here in the Hello May office. Elle-May and Christian run a design agency together as well as an online antique store but the sweetness doesn’t end there! In preparation for their big day, the two spent an entire evening making lolly bags filled with their favourite childhood treats. Captured by the brilliant Ben Sowry on the Sunshine Coast we promise you it doesn’t get more wholesome than this. THE VENUE I (Elle) used to live at Yaroomba beach so Point Arkwright was a place I visited all the time. It was also somewhere Christian first met all my family when he first visited Australia. Twilight there makes me feel so much peace and completely at home and I kind of always knew if I was to have a wedding ceremony it would be there. THE VIBE Basically just being in a beautiful place and being around all the people we love and ultimately love in general! THE DRESS I met Leanne in her studio in early 2016 in New York. I was blown away by her creativity and delicate/floaty feminine pieces. I could have honestly worn any dress I saw there. But the one I wore was a collaboration of designs between us (mostly her knowledge of fabrics, dyeing, sewing etc). I also showed her some sketches of a design I would love, inspired by what she creates already, and she made it come into reality. It was such a beautiful experience and something so personal. FAVOURITE DETAILS Christian’s parents made it out from the US which was really incredible. We also had some close friends who travelled. For us, the most important thing was just all our loved ones being there in one space. DIY We did a few things we made the signs on the day, the favour bags, we made little dried lavender cones for the guests (I tried so hard to make the cake myself but just didn’t have the skill haha). We wanted to do as much as we could by hand. FAVOURITE MOMENT A stand out was just seeing each other amongst everyone and walking down the aisle so humbled and grateful to be in the company of all of our incredible family. STANDOUT VENDORS Of course Ben [Photographer] & Ryan [Cinematographer]! They are incredible to work with and create a dreamland of visuals. Dezley [Twig & Grace] her style is so good we could just close our eyes and let her create anything. Clem & Leanne-(our celebrants, also dear family friends), they were there for us spiritually through pre-marital counselling and were just a rock for us. The crew at Canteen were also incredible, they tried anything we requested and were super open and accommodating to every single thing we had planned.
