23.01.2022 Sunday sesh done!! Pause jerks hurt the soul but felt good today. Working on keeping that bar on my chest for maximal drive and it's working. 15.01.2022 I’ve never been someone who posts novels but I felt I needed too. Where to start? I had a great accomplishment 3 weeks ago at State Titles Breaking the National Record and again tonight in jerking 200kg but I sit here and need to reflect on myself. Last year I gave up on weightlifting as I struggled with self confidence and mental strength and the fear of letting people down. ... 2020 I set a goal of just trying and I have had setbacks and sometimes struggle to think I can do it! Sports Depression is real and the fear of letting people down can happen! Since Covid I set myself a goal of just sending it and doing what makes me happy and that was lifting weights! In the past couple of Months training at different gyms I have gained full confidence back and the hunger for more by support of lifters new friends and a new girlfriend who helped me understand how good I could be if I work hard! In this period In growing i feel I have neglected my friends as I always aim to please and it makes me feel horrible! My close friends mean the world to me and I hope you know who you are and I sincerely do apologise for not being around or not contacting. It’s lazy and I know I need to show up more. The next 12 months on my journey will be tough and I believe I can do it! Support means many things in life but is also very important to every day living and just being there to say well done or you are doing great and asking the question. I have always tried to help everyone around me from day 1 and will always try to help no matter what the situation and I always will but I do slip up and say the wrong things and fuck up! 03.01.2022 Squats are a huge influence for me when I have comp back in to weightlifting. I was always strong but wanted to increase and maximise the back and front squat. Happy to hit 227kg and a new pb last night! Feeling stronger then ever and ready to keep pushing and really translate this to some great lifts in competition as that is where it really matters! 5 months ago when returning to weightlifting training my pb front and back squat where 210 and 235 and now I'm at 227 and ...255 and feeling like there is more in the tank! Thanks to @mwydall and @cougarsweightliftingclub and training partner @ebonygorincu and @whitsundayweightlifting for the support! Find what makes you happy and go for it!!
