23.01.2022 SHUGG Electrical - Coronavirus statement: We arent making too many announcements about ongoing business as there wont be anything hard and fast for a while. At this stage we are free to trade and the PM last night made the statement that ALL jobs that can still be done are considered essential to maintaining our economy. Being a mobile business we are making considered approaches to each job as it comes and have implemented stringent hygiene measures.... To enable our continued business and the safety of our customers, we are requesting the following: * Please minimise the number of people who are present at your home or workplace while we work. * We are glad to meet you but will not be shaking hands upon arrival or departure * Please dont ask us to visit if you have elderly or people with existing conditions living in your home (or if you work with these people daily) unless it is vital. We picked up these hot cross buns from Bushies Bakery through an auction. $300 from our purchase will be donated by Bushies to the Cowwarr Primary School Fire Rebuild Fund. Now we are on selling single packs for $10 delivered and passing on the proceeds back to Bushies to further bolster their efforts! We will keep you posted once we tally up the results . 15.01.2022 Another example of a DIY potential disaster, someone who knew enough to make it work, and possibly burn the house down too! Part 2 of the same house from last week. How about running an extension cord under the carpet between 2 outlets, and a terrible attempt at terminating the cable to top it off! If you think you are clever enough to avoid paying a professional, just think about how clever you will feel behind bars... it is THAT serious guys!

14.01.2022 Energy Safe Victoria are currently running a campaign "DIY = DIE" to empasise the importance of having a licensed sparky for all electrical work done at your premises. Here is an example of a DIY job I came across that has the potential to be deadly in the wrong circumstances! The lack of an earthing wire at the power point shown means that a faulty appliance could have live exposed parts without ever tripping the circuit, just waiting for the homeowner to touch it! To top it off, the cable was twisted and taped into a lighting circuit, leaving a dangerous situation for anyone who enters the ceiling space as well as a potential hotspot where a fire could easily start...
