The Chinese Communist regime’s persecution of the Uyghur people is undeniable. More than one million people have been rounded up and put in internment camps across Xinjiang and subjected to gross human rights abuses including torture, coercion, the denial of the most basic liberties and forced labour. It would be a grave human rights failure if Australia, under our Free Trade Agreement with China, were to turn a blind eye to profiteering from what amounts to the massive use of forced labour. 14.01.2022 Did you know many goods made in China are made using FORCED LABOUR? MODERN DAY SLAVERY? The Communist Chinese Government has locked up millions of Uyghur Turkic people in Nazi style concentration camps where they are now forced to work for free in factories across China and in factories adjoining the concentration camps. They are used to make goods for global brands in areas such as electronics, clothing, shoes, food, household products. These goods are them imported to Austr...alia. Australians who purchase these goods are unintentionally complicit in supporting slave labour, making it impossible for Australian made goods to compete. A further nail in the coffin for bringing back Australian manufacturing. There is however a glimmer of hope...to help Made in Australia products flourish. Senator Rex Patrick has tabled the Banning Goods Produced by Uyghur Labour Bill. This bill proposes to ban any importation of goods made in Xinjiang, China, using Uyghur forced labour. This bill will make ALL businesses that import goods from China comply. Your support is needed for this bill to pass. How can you help? 1. Contact your local MP and senators and tell them to support the bill 2. Complete a submission supporting the bill. Add your views on how it can be further strengthened. Submissions close on 5 February 2021 3. Tell any businesses, associations or clubs you know or are part of to make a submission 4. Sign the petition to ban the importation of goods made with slave labour 5. Boycott Chinese made products 6. Buy Australian made always Australian manufacturing cannot compete when China uses forced labour. Australian companies will continue to go with offshore companies if they cannot compete. 06.01.2022 Just donated $5,500 from my salary as a UQ Senate member to aid Uyghur refugees in Turkey. While UQ burns millions trying to expel me to protect their relations...hip with China, they still have to keep paying me, so I donate every cent to people oppressed by CCP tyranny. Between my Amnesty International fundraiser, my hamper appeals for UQ students in poverty, and donations to Uyghurs, Ive used my platform to donate more than $27,500 to charity so far this year, and its still only June! So thankful, thank you to all who have helped

05.01.2022 Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar Sister Dalya Ayoub from Life Matters Academy has generously donated $39,373 To Shukr Foundation from her fund raising during ramadan. InshaaAllah we will make sure this amount reaches the Uyghur refugees (Mainly widows and orphans) as soon as possible.
