24.01.2022 Well feeling a bit excited here. There is an added direction coming to SSP. Some new faces, new approaches and a complete team working under the SSP banner. There will soon be 5 accomplished photographers to work with. So watch this space for the announcement of my new partners in crime lol. The varied expertise of each and every one of these people open up a whole new area to explore. I will be truly honoured to have these photographers to work with and alongside. The possibilities from here are endless. Happy days. Chris

23.01.2022 Got out last night with the new addition to the kit. The Pixelstick. Loaded up a few images, and took it for a test run. So today, upload some bitmap images to the SD Card and perhaps create some of my own light painting images. But this is one wicked bit of gear with what it can do for light painting photography.
23.01.2022 So who's going this weekend? https://facebook.com/events/s/powercruise-82-queensland-offi/1562044667287073/?ti=cl
23.01.2022 Taking a little time out from driving.
22.01.2022 Welcome to 2020 folks. I trust everyone had a safe and fantastic Christmas and New Years. Well its onto another year, exciting times ahead for SSP this year. But to kick.it off, I will be back on to the car scene tomorrow night. I will be at Munchies at Acacia Ridge just after 5pm and into the night. I shall have another talented photographer in tow with me, Lisa. The ultimate challenge was thrown down by Lisa to me the other day. The Nikon vs Canon challenge, well, Challenge accepted. This will be a great evening of bagging and banter and some damn fine cars. We may even top it off with some street art auto shots if time permits. So watch this space people, this is going to be very close.
22.01.2022 Well I was a bit slow of the mark here welcoming and introducing our latest addition to the SSP team. Jocelyn Race has joined us as of a couple of weeks ago. She will be great addition to the team in her own special areas. Whilst also learning some new areas to explore. So Jocelyn, without further ado, welcome aboard. Chris and the team.
17.01.2022 Want to get family portraits done before Christmas? personal message us to book a time! Beautiful picture of one of our photographers son down at Shorncliffe.

17.01.2022 Well that's Christmas 2020 done and dusted. I am hoping everyone had a festive time amongst family, friends and loved ones. For me, it was the start of 4 weeks annual leave. Something I have not enjoyed for over 10 years. So it's out and about with the cameras and drone. No NYE fireworks this year so will be looking at other options there. I do have a booking out past Roma early January which will be wicked. Bit of a road trip that one for a few nights away I feel. Really looking forward to this time away from driving, well the truck at least. As well as just getting back behind the camera and fulfil some of the to do shoots I wanted to do and share with you all.
16.01.2022 After months of contemplating and research, the new camera body arrived today. I was tossing up between the D780 and D850. The D850 won. So I have got my hands ...on one for a 6 month trial period to see if it cuts the mustard so to speak. Really looking forward to putting it through its paces in various areas with various lenses. But be rest assured, all images for a while will be from the D850. Lets see what this bad boy is capable of See more
16.01.2022 Well the roads a calling me again. Time to climb out of my comfy office chair at Melcrest Auto Express and back into my beloved Western Star I handed over 18 months ago. Im off to load a load of cars to Cairns on Saturday morning from Brisbane. I will be packing the camera gear of course so if you see me pulled up, or even cruising along come say hi. And if time permits, maybe we can do a shoot on your car or truck. Just keep an eye out for the Purple Gear.
15.01.2022 Well for what has been a MASSIVE year for me, both behind the camera and personally, its time to kick back and relax. May this festive season see you surrounded by love and happiness amongst family and friends. So from my family to yours, have a safe and Merry Xmas and a prosperous New Year. And thank you to all those for your continued support, again, from behind the camera and personally. Merry Xmas everyone. Stay safe and take care out there. Chris

15.01.2022 This is my back yard. Whats not to love about the Peninsula area. This shot, unedited straight off the drone was done at 500m above the Gayundah Coastal Arboretum looking back at Woody Point Jetty, Bramble Bay and the Houghton Highway Bridge.
14.01.2022 This is without doubt the best picture I have seen this year, if not decade. A HUGE shout out to all our firies and volunteers battling these bushfires. Wishing you all a safe return. And thank YOU for your service.
14.01.2022 Cant say no to a good strap in this weather
14.01.2022 Well thanks to COVID 19 things have been a little slower than usual. But it has given me time to work on a restructure for the business. Now with 5 photographers on the books things are really looking up when things return to as normal as it can be. I myself, have jumped out of the office for Melcrest and back into the truck for a while. I am currently coming into Bourke on my way to Adelaide. This is a great chance to break out the cameras while on the road.
13.01.2022 Out and about last night and this morning. At Kangaroo Point and Wellington Point. Well what do you know, I now have Point to Point Cameras hahahaha

11.01.2022 Some nice shots by our newest member Jocelyn. More to come!
11.01.2022 Ok people, due to extreme circumstances I am trying to save these 2 from being sent to a shelter. Here we have Frankie and Apollo. Frankie is an 8 year old Australian Silky Terrier Cross and Apollo is a 6 year old Swiss Shepherd. They are best of mates and never been separated from the time Apollo was brought home at 12 weeks old. So unfortunately we dont want to seperate them now. Both are fantastic playful dogs. Apollo is very good at protecting the family and house. I have less then a month I believe before they are sent to a shelter. If you or anyone you know can give these great dogs a home please let me know. Oh yeah, both have been desexed. So if you can help by sharing or asking around it would be much appreciated. Cheers Chris.
10.01.2022 Sun down at the Lights on the Hill Memorial Wall and just had to send the drone up.
10.01.2022 Today is the day we all meet at the Lights on the Hill Trucking Memorial Wall at Lake Apex in Gatton. We meet to honour and remember those men, women and children associated with the transport industry that have been taken from us too early. It is a very emotional day for those involved, family, friends, committee members and all those involved in this event. It is also a day when we get to catch up and have a chat with old friends and make new ones with a common bond. I'll get in early and thank the commitee for having us out there again this year to capture this event and bring it to those who couldn't make it. And to those that have made the trip, thank you for making the day as special each year as it is. Our Family, Our Friends. Gone but never forgotten.

06.01.2022 Well after a drive up Mt Tamborine early today. Then a ride on the pushy for 50km. It's time for a big feed and shower. Then pack the gear for a night in the city with the cameras. I have been trying something a little different with city lights but have not yet got it how I like it. Lets hope tonight is the night.

03.01.2022 Some long exposure fun in the city last night.
03.01.2022 Did you know: Pure honey was found in 2,000 year old Egyptian pyramids and was still edible? Very cool.
02.01.2022 So today I thought I would charge up the drone and send it up around Woody Point area. As I sit here at the boat ramp looking out across the water, checking a few Facebook posts etc and seeing the smoke haze across Pine River and into the city. I can not help but feel a little angry and very worried at the same time. I have friends and family on the Sunshine Coast. I have friends with family on the NSW mid north coast. The worry is that these people firstly are safe, and they... have homes to come back too. The anger is at these tree hugging greenies that wanted to stop the burn offs that were conducted every winter of every year. We never had fires with this much devastation when the burn off were conducted. Now because of these tree huggers lives have been lost, homes destroyed, men and women in direct harm fighting these fires. I truly hope this is a dead set wake up call to these greenies. If it isnt, then you ARE the problem. And God forbid these fires were deliberately lit, if so I truly hope the law comes down with the harshest penalty imaginable. Please, all those around these areas, stay safe and my thoughts are with you for the best outcome possible. Chris.
02.01.2022 Some of the shots from my trip to Mt Isa this week. Not 100% happy with them but are good enough to show.
