24.01.2022 Back here after a solid 4 month hiatus. Anyone who knows me will attest to the fact that I'm only on social media thanks to the business (es) I run. Otherwise I'd rather be outdoors swimming in rivers, running on trails, reading a book whilst camping or trying to perfect my chickpea fried rice. All of which I have done in abundance in 2020. Thanks to the forced break. Anyway without rambling further about how awesome life outside Instagram is, here's Megan, Adrian, Morgan and I soaking in the rain at M+M's wedding down at the snowy mountains last month.

24.01.2022 Is that the earth above them? Projection? What do you think it is? Let me know your guesses

23.01.2022 Am so glad to have connected with Apara and Marlon over their maternity photoshoot. We struck a common cord from the outset with Dee being preggers too which gave us plenty to chat about amongst other things. To top it off, they had us over for dinner a couple of nights ago where Marlon showed off his cooking prowess with a delicious pasta. Having an opportunity to connect with diverse and interesting people is why I love what I do. ... HMUA: @gatherandstitch_beauty

22.01.2022 Jyotsna and Josef surfed through 11 wedding venues over a weekend. They went through 8 photographers+videographers (I was the last of them). Let's just say these guys know what they want and they are patient enough to run through their options (Josef miiiight slightly disagree ;)) I'm always a massive fan of mixed culture weddings and theirs was a celebration of Punjab, and Calabria, Italy. Always love me a dance floor where the grandmas groove as much theirs did!... 22.01.2022 Gday! Id like to show you what Ive been working on over the last month. I created a self portrait which had me fondly recollect and catalogue plenty of memories from my life so far. This in essence is how I see myself and I speak about the why over the how, when etc.... The inspiration for this project comes from the legend that is Melle Mel. Going forward, I will be reaching out to people whove inspired me, had an impact on me or just people I admire and attempt to create a portrait of them. Also if you or someone you know would like me to document their story, please shout out. I havent worked out if I want to commercialise this yet, but with my calendar and coffers being free of weddings this year, Id be keen to consider this as a business venture if the idea appeals to people. I hope you find watching my video a little engaging. Happy weekend y'all!

19.01.2022 Last shot of the day !

19.01.2022 Sukashini and Niall had an intimate wedding this moody Monday at the Westmead temple. Plenty of good laughs had. When I told Suka about my love for riding my bicycle, she asked me if I was a MAMIL? I wasn't sure what I should have taken offence for more, being called middle aged or being presumed to riding in Lycra. PS I also learnt that MAMIL stood for middle aged men in Lycra. ... 17.01.2022 Here's to another hero bride. Every descent is followed by an ascent to get back to the start. I leave the hiking part of my shoot to the end as there's a slight chance you may be a sweaty mess.. but hey magical photos.

16.01.2022 These guys would have gone up to waist high water if I'd asked them to. Their eagerness to be break the norm for what couples do at a shoot was so bloody heartwarming. Entire gallery coming up tomorrow!

16.01.2022 There's always light.

15.01.2022 Neel noticed these little droplets of water dripping off the rocks and asked me if there was a way to capture it in a photo. Had to oblige.

15.01.2022 F$%^! WEDDING TRADITIONS!! and by that I am referring to the ones that dont hold any meaning to you at your wedding. In this video, I share a few pointers that may help you design your wedding to be unique and reflective of you.... - How history and movies need not force your hand into doing something that has no meaning to you - Picking and choosing elements for your day and hence saving yourself a whole lot of money and time both of with which you can proceed to spend with your guests having lit toimes. - How to take the oft used wedding runsheet and burn it like a dirty effigy of Trump. Do your own runsheet. Let it be random. Let it be ad-hoc. Let it be - YOU. Do YOUR wedding, YOUR way, incorporating elements that YOU think have meaning.

14.01.2022 Intimate moments such as this..breaks as social distancing rules. But then this was from 2 weeks before, we all good

14.01.2022 For those who didn't make it this far in my video from yesterday, here was one key takeaway. The video is the funniest thing on the internet in 2020 #gokarona

13.01.2022 Jacqui picked this amazing spot for a photo. Ramsey and I couldn't help but salivate and click away. H&M: @sumitra.joshihmua

12.01.2022 Lengthy post.. This was the first time I’d picked up a camera to photograph a couple since early March. This has also been the longest I’ve gone in between without photographing couples since 2011. At the start of the pandemic, I wasn’t too perturbed about not having many weddings to do. It felt nice to have the time to do things I’ve always wanted to do,... redesign my website to reflect myself and my brand on it, spend undistracted time with Yuva and Deepa, have more D&Ms than ever with close friends expand my love for cooking and coffee making get myself into a regular physical training routine (running my first trail half marathon in the process) However in the last week, there’s been a sense of hopelessness that has engulfed me. The air of uncertainty in the air, the wish for a bright future for Yuva and those of his time, the dramatic drop in wedding enquiries, the empathy I feel for couples trying to plan their celebrations in a grim environment contributed to this feeling of despair. Manit and Justin (pictured here and whose wedding I have the privilege of documenting next year) were a ray of sunshine in my life over the last few months. They’d regularly reached out to check on how I was doing, empathised with the impact the virus has had on the wedding industry and even sent across a box of goodies including a Nutella syringe to express their solidarity. Although their wedding had been postponed to next year, they had a private registered wedding a few weeks ago and I wanted to express compassion by giving them photographic memories to remember this time. Most of us are not going to recall this time with fondness but the intimate little bond that I’ve formed with beautiful souls such as these sparks hope for the future and I cannot wait to express myself with more gusto and passion than ever in the times to come.

11.01.2022 2 person gathering. Keeping with the times.

10.01.2022 Best time for self reflection.

09.01.2022 So joyous at being able to capture emotions like these again!

07.01.2022 This surface was more slippery than what I can be at times. Kajol and Neel walked on it like they were ice skaters

07.01.2022 The golden glow. These 2 were up for any level of adventure and risk at their shoot. I f_+$-ikg love them for it. You'll see the results of that soon in the gallery I'll release

06.01.2022 Here's my favourite wedding film finally up on my website. I'd been religious in keeping my website up to date from the time I started this wedding shindig (~9 yrs ago) till mid last year. Then I slacked off as I spent most of time in the business rather than growing and showcasing it. Since c-19 as bought time back in our lives, I'll be updating my website with all the weddings I've had the joyful privilege of covering since Aug 2019.

06.01.2022 Morning! This was my last shoot before things went haywire. It's been 2 months already! Hair and makeup: @gatherandstitch_beauty

04.01.2022 Go Karona! Karona GO! | OPTIONS FOR WEDDINGS, A VIRAL DANCE AND ODE TO A SUPERHERO CALL Strange times are here and it took me a while to decide the content for this 3rd video. Im this video I speak about,... ^^ I speak about the impact of Karona on couples, the wedding industry ^^ What we can do to rise out of this stronger - but most importantly, TOGETHER. ^^ The greatest viral dance. Fast forward to 5m57 for shiz&giggles. Given my current state of unemployment (once Im done with my current edits), I have all the time in the world to answer any questions or have a chat about all and sundry.

03.01.2022 As all photographers do, our gadget fetish builds up over the years and we accumulate a ton of gear. I wanted to challenge myself by keeping my gear to a minimum at this shoot. I went with the one lens (55mm) and no strobe/flash. It was so refreshing, less intimidating and I think that reflects strongly in the emotions and nature of the shots

02.01.2022 Slight sprinkle... Or aesthetic dust on camera? Hair and makeup: @gatherandstitch_beauty

02.01.2022 Here's a throwback to my favourite pre-wedding shoot of 2019. Have a read to see why!

02.01.2022 In the midst of the jungle with Suji's yellow outfit that was a perfect contrast to the setting and Shiv's suaveness in general Hair and makeup: @gatherandstitch_beauty

02.01.2022 To get here, Shiv, Suji and I had to bushwalk for half hr. Not an easy task when you're wearing a dress but then I always asked my couples to pack runners on a shoot with me. Adventure shoot is what I call my pre-wedding sessions. With every shoot, you're guarantee to get a free bootcamp thrown in. The people who've been through this with me can post in the comment :)

01.01.2022 Video coming up at 6pm tonight speaking about all that's transpired in the wedding industry in the last few weeks. It'll have some key messages, viral dance moves and ode to the greatest superhero there is. For now enjoy the serenity

01.01.2022 I was lucky to have EPIC back to back weddings before my hike at the Overland Track in Tassie last year. Yeah, back in that time when you could go interstate.. Voo and Shiv were lots of fun to work with and the entire SIAM circus had a whale of a time up at the hunter valley with their families and mates. And oh, thanks Shiv for bumming me a sneaky ciggie at the end of it all. First one in over 10 years. Felt alright. Voo Mha Shiv Suchdeva...
