To help us comply with capacity guidelines, please register f...or Sunday Masses via https://www.eventbrite.com.au/o/athelstone-jesuit-community. Upcoming Mass times are listed and you can book for several people. St Ignatius Church, Norwood now has simultaneous Masses, with 75 capacity in the Church and 50 in the Hall. On Sunday, Fr Chris Horvat, S.J. (pictured Old Ignatian from the Class of 1969), celebrated Mass at the Senior School on the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ. Fr Horvat recently returned to the Jesuit residence at the Senior School after an absence of 41 years, though he was chaplain at the Junior School and living at Norwood from mid 1998 until 2008. He will be working as assistant novice director once the Australian/New Zealand Jesuit novitiate commences at Athelstone in August. This year is his golden jubilee as a Jesuit.

16.01.2022 Pilgrims 100 is a new and inspiring initiative by St Ignatius Church, Norwood, South Australia parishioners James and Genevieve Hill, in conjunction with Jesuit... Mission Australia. Committee Members also include: Elizabeth Boylan, John Carey (Class of 1974), Tim Heffernan (Class of 1984) and Richard Pagliaro. It is a simple concept with 100 members donating $1,000 each which is then pooled and donated to a Jesuit Mission project overseas. Members as a group decide which project will be awarded the funds. Pilgrims 100 was introduced just before Coronavirus struck. Notwithstanding the inability to officially launch this new venture it is exciting to be past the half way mark in the quest for 100 supporters to join Pilgrims 100. In October all those interested in joining Pilgrims 100 will have the opportunity to view the four projects that have been selected for this 2020 year. The grant awards night is planned for Monday the 2nd November 2020. To find out more about Pilgrims 100 and to join as a member, please click here: https://jesuitmission.org.au/pilgrims100/ Building a Pilgrims 100 community here in South Australia to support Jesuit Mission international projects.
