15.01.2022 AIRLIE BEACH STORY TELLER Hi it's Ken To clarify a rumor being circulated at Airlie Beach SICYC is an independent incorporated association and is managed by a committee ........ Yesterday, I was i formed by a person that didn't know who I was, that SICYC was now run by Paul Darrouzet. This person isn't a " Vice Commodore" and said that it was now common knowledge and that she had been told by a local "Vice Commodore" with knowledge of the management of the committee. This is absolute rubbish!!!! As most of you would be aware. Paul is a committed supporter of both SICYC and the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia through the Coral Sea Marina and the Coral Sea Resort. SICYC is fortunate to have many such sponsors and we appreciate the support of each and every one of them. I am personally disappointed to think that such rubbish is being is being spread, particulay by one of our members. If you happen to know this person please tell them to desist as it is in total disrespect to the hard working VOLUNTEERS who CONTINUE to support of SICYC.

13.01.2022 Whitsunday Prostate Cancer Support Group This Group has now been formed in the Whitsunday region to offer information and support to recently diagnosed men ( wi...th their partners) from those who have been through the system and survived! It is also a forum for PC survivors to meet others undergoing the challenges of PC treatment and survival. The Group meets once a month and has been formed under the auspices of the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia. On Saturday week, join us at the Airlie Markets for the Big Aussie Barbie , a project of the Airlie Beach Rotary Club and pick up brochures and information as to how the Support Group can help you or your loved ones.
