10.01.2022 | The Charlie Bell Scholarship | In recognition of the contribution made by the former McDonalds Corporation CEO, Charlie Bell, a scholarship for future leaders has been created in his name recognising Charlies commitment towards the provision of ongoing learning and education. Each year, awards may be granted under the Scholarship as follows: 1. an award, valued up to $15,000 may be granted to an employee... of McDonalds Australia Limited or employed at a McDonalds restaurant by a McDonalds franchisee; 2. awards, valued up to $30,000, may be granted by the Selection Committee to individuals who have met eligibility criteria. WHO IS ELIGIBLE? To be eligible to apply for the Scholarship, applicants must: gain acceptance to or be enrolled in, an undergraduate or postgraduate degree at an Australian University; be available to commence university or continue university, as the case may be, in Semester 1, 2021; be an Australian citizen or permanent resident; in respect of one of the awards, an applicant must be employed by McDonalds or its franchisees; and not have been a previous award recipient of the Charlie Bell Scholarship for Future Leaders. 08.01.2022 | YEARLY TAX TIME REMINDER TO ALL EMPLOYEES PAST AND PRESENT OVER THE 12 MONTHS | Just a reminder to all our Employees, even if you have left us in the last 12 months, that your 2020 tax payment summaries will be prepared at the end of June and will be uploaded to your myGOV account. *We will not be generating email/paper copies. If you worked at more than one store during the last 12 months, then you will have multiple payment summaries for each store. So, if you worked at 3... stores then you will have 3 payments summaries! You need all of them for your tax return. To ensure that it uploads correctly and that you have no issue when trying to lodge your tax returns, please ensure the following is correct: [1] - IS YOUR NAME CORRECT? Please check one of your last payslips and make sure that we have you correct LEGAL name, spelled correctly, right first name, right last name, no nicknames etc. it must match your birth certificate/ passport. [2] - DO YOU HAVE A TAX FILE NUMBER? If you have got a Tax File Number and are not sure that we have it please complete a Tax Declaration form (you can download from the ATO website or you can ask you Manager for a paper copy) email to [email protected] , so the records can be updated before its too late.
