14.01.2022 Hi everyone - I wish to acknowledge and thank everyone who has contacted me to ask questions about their upcoming trips. As you know, I’m always here for support. I’d also like to take this opportunity to detail the current situation with regards to coronavirus (COVID-19) and travel planning. With each passing day, there are new developments related to this worldwide outbreak. My thoughts are with those individuals who have already been affected by COVID-19 as well as my tr...avellers whose plans have been disrupted and those of you unsure about proceeding with upcoming travels. While there are still many unknowns about this outbreak, as a Travel Counsellor I will also do my best to be an ambassador of facts and relay information as it becomes available. I have great confidence that the travel industry will remain united in mitigating risks and distress through education and communication with each other and our travellers. I believe that it’s important to not let fear dictate our lives, but we need to be resilient and educated. My top priority is, and always will be, the safety of my travellers. I am choosing to remain optimistic about the future and encourage you to do the same. Please be assured that myself and my fellow Travel Counsellors and the Travel Industry as a whole, are closely monitoring these events as they unfold around the world. While this current outbreak is concerning, the world is far too beautiful to be left unexplored, and in my opinion life is meant to be spent well travelled. 11.01.2022 Now that we know how bleak a world without any travel looks like, I am even more determined to ensure when the world resets - you get the dream holiday you deserve. I read an amazing article by a fellow Travel Professional and wished to share some of her thoughts, in "Sid speak" of course It is long, however - I would love you to read: 1. When creating your perfect Itinerary - I always put your gorgeous holiday dreams first. ... Whether you are a new or referred client, this may be asking questions about your preferred style of hotel, which cruise line / tour company you have enjoyed previously. Or I am your forever Advisor I am already all over this - my thoughts are always "is this option meeting or exceeding your hopes, and you will love?" 2. I genuinely wish and am working toward all my clients obtaining the best possible financial and emotional outcomes, and am working with suppliers who are dealing with many bookings and with skeleton staff as their workmates have been "stood down". 3. Working in travel during a global pandemic, it's really really hard. 4. The challenges and unknowns that COVID-19 has introducted to our industry has superseded anything pre-dating 2020. 5. None of us can draw from our knowledge and experience from the "last global pandemic" and we are an industry which is based on trusted advice, experience and knowledge, and therefore, fumbling through the everchanging policies from Airline, Cruise and Tour companies has been very very challenging. 6. As an industry - we are the classic "meat in the sandwich" which is difficult at the best of times, as we do not own the airline or hotel we have coorindated for you. We can never promise you a great meal at every restaurant, a leopard sighting on safari or that the Mona Lisa will be to your artistic liking - however, I work my butt off creating your dream holiday to hope it is! 10.01.2022 Had a giggle with a client yesterday...

07.01.2022 Hi everyone I hope you, your family, friends and loved ones are safe during this time. Please continue to take care of yourselves and each other. Life has definitely been challenging as a Travel Counsellor over the past couple of months. Many hours of creating my fabulous clients amazing holidays - has now had to be undone with many hours on phone calls to airlines, cruise lines, tour companies etc on behalf of my clients. The impact of COVID-19 on our way of life is so...mething I for one, would never have predicted. Whilst uncertain times will continue, my own love for travel has not and will not diminish - and I will in the future - reinstate my gorgeous trip to Canada which is one of the trips I have had to cancel. This has been a very challenging time for everyone, and I wished to pass along my love and thanks to those who have been in touch, offered their friendship and support throughout this time. 03.01.2022 COVID-19 has been devastating for many people around the world - whether it be you, your family or friends.
