24.01.2022 Community is NOT a value. (Triggered? Hear me out) To actually be a value it needs to meet 2 criteria. Can it also be adopted as an identity? (I am statement) Can it also be turned into a verb? An actionable word.... So community is a word Can it be adopted as an identity? Communitor, a commune Nope Can it be an actionable word? I am communitying? nup doesn’t work Yes the people that FORM the community can embody and have solid core values like love, support, connection and learning but THESE are the values adopted by the community... But James I do value community, I support everyone around me! Cool, the real thing you value is support. You’re a supporter (identity) and you’re actioning supporting that’s what makes your community awesome because it’s probably full of amazing supporters like you! Same examples can apply for words like integrity, honesty and that’s a crazy thought because a lot of companies have these as their so called values. Probably why so many fail in actioning and embodying these hey. I LOVE community, especially our incredible community here @siege but It’s not about the words you plaster on the walls. It’s about the real values that are actually EMBODIED by the people. The values that run through the DNA of the business. The ones that are embodied by the owner, through all the staff, but most importantly through every member and every client. What if you looked at your training as a way of making you feel incredible, building relationships with other like minded individuals (a tribe) and having more focus on performance based objectives like strength, technique and physical conditioning. What if all you need to change is the intention of your training to fall in love with your body and its capabilities again

What if deep down you’re really just desiring more confidence More confidence in your bodies abilities and more confidence in your self.... If you lifted a weight it’s not the simple fact you can move an object against gravity from A to B, its the confidence you get from doing that. The feeling of pulling or pushing a weight that’s literally resisting you the whole time, trusting your ability and conquering it When you have a whole community of people with common values all backing you, cheering you, supporting you, all with genuine desire to see you grow, nothing ignites confidence quite like that. 18.01.2022 It’s easy to look at those among us that are killing it and think you know how they made it there. I know In the past I’ve done this. You look at someone performing highly in an area you want to perform. You analyse their journey through what they show on socials or what you hear from others... and then create your own journey of their success in your mind as to how they got where they are. Can I just say you have NO idea how they made it where they are. ... You have no idea what really occurred in their lives or how they processed those events. You have no idea about their past, you don’t see what goes on behind the scenes... AND you certainly do not have the right to compare your journey with (let’s be honest) your perception of theirs and then GIVE YOURSELF A HARD TIME about how long you’re taking or how much more challenging you think you’re finding it... No one performing made it to where they are without immense challenges. Most of which you will NEVER know or understand because you are not them. But just know that no growth comes without challenge, be kind to yourself when the journey gets tough and certainly never say anything ever just landed in someone’s lap. See more

12.01.2022 What’s the HARDEST thing when you transition from Globo gym training to strength and conditioning? So many people do it, I did it and from my experience the most painful thing was losing part of my ego no not arrogance, my sense of who I was. For years my goal was to increase muscle and strength. ... For years I trusted the body part splits, the volume training programs, the fact that all my body parts needed to be isolated and hit specifically every week if not twice a week this training method became part of who I was. And to set new goals and new targets and to go about training for them in a completely new way had some resistance from my old self in a lot of ways. Yeah the old training had gotten stale, I wasn’t vibing with the others doing that style of training and I was ready to move on but that still didn’t take validation away from the resistance I felt. Sometimes to grow you have to shed parts of your ego, parts of yourself. Not having attachment to these is an incredible strength and one that allows you to be malleable and adaptive to whatever is thrown your way. See more

09.01.2022 Confidence. Something we are not always willing to admit we need more of. Our mates, family or partner might not even be aware we are craving it either. Siege drives confidence. Learning to trust yourself and your capabilities and then backing it up with real world execution, regardless of whether that’s just performing a movement under load or building relationships with others in the tribeits all a metaphor for ANY situation in life. That little voice in your head that said you’d fail, quickly followed by another voice hey at least you’ll be right about something... Plant your feet and commit to moving forward.
