22.01.2022 This Oarfish was found washed up on the beach straight in front of the resort recently. When first seen the colours were beautiful electric blue, bright orange and pink. Like other colourful fish, once out of the water the colours diminish. Sad to see such a beautiful creature expired, but as it is a deep sea fish it was of great interest to the resort families

17.01.2022 Something you don't see everyday. This "small" manta ray was a long way from home, spotted out the front of Siesta on Easter Saturday! We believe it to be a Reef Manta Ray, which can grow up to 5 metres wide but are more commonly seen in the 3 metre range. This manta was approximately a metre and a half from wing tip to wing tip, making it relatively small.
