24.01.2022 I have just checked the mySwitch website again, they have NOW changed the South West Sydney Digital Transmitter switch on date to the END OF NOVEMBER!!! My apologies for all this uncertainty but it is completely out of my control. I will keep you all updated as soon as information comes to hand. Regards, Martin

24.01.2022 Happy New Year to you all, I have just checked the myswitch website this morning, it is still showing that the South West Digital Transmitter, at Razorback, would be turned on in December 2012. It is definitely not switched on yet! What can I say? I have no words, I will keep you posted on any further developments. As for the Vault Hill transmitter at Picton all I can say is that it probably wont be commissioned until after the Razorback one has started!

24.01.2022 Hello All Just to let you know, according to Myswitch website, the new digital TV transmitter on Razorback will now commence broadcasting sometime in September 2012, not August as we were previously told. 23.01.2022 Update on start date for South West Sydney Digital Transmitter at Razorback: According to mySwitch the date has been revised to late March or early April!

22.01.2022 Hello all, I have been given a 100% guarantee from TXA today, that the South West Sydney Digital Transmitter on Razorback, will be turned on on Tuesday 30th April. I was told today by TXA that they intend to slowly "ramp the power up" throughout the day and it should be operating at full strength by that evening. 20.01.2022 The Vault Hill Digital Transmitter which will service the Picton area switch on date has also been changed mySwitch are now saying that will be December2012, (fingers crossed!!!)

17.01.2022 Hello all, The mySwitch website has now CHANGED its information AGAIN regarding the South West Digital Transmitter, the switch on date is now stated as being DECEMBER! How many government departments does it take to turn on a television transmitter? Can someone please tell me the answer! Regards Martin

17.01.2022 I spoke to TXA, the company that is commissioning the new South West Sydney Digital Transmitter on the top of Razorback. They have told me that the start date has yet again been postponed and will now be late February or early March. I also spoke to myswitch to query their wrongly published dates and lodged an official complaint about the incorrect information given to me and on their website (doubt that it will make any difference!)

15.01.2022 Hello all, I have contacted ACMA, myswitch, the ABC and eventually was told by a woman at the myswitch office that the South West Sydney Digital Transmitter is now due to commence broadcasting on 21st January 2013. Lets see what happens this time! (myswitch website is still saying Dec 2012, but it is definitely not on yet) Regards Martin

15.01.2022 Hello all Please note, if you are currently receiving your TV reception from the new Razorback tower, the tower is going to be off air tonight from 12midnight to 4am and tomorrow night from 12midnight to 4am, due to scheduled maintenance work. Please do not adjust your set or attempt to re-tune as you will lose all reception Please note,(for those of you who dont already know,) On the 18 March 2014 you will need to re-tune all your TVs if you are receiving your signal from ...Razorback or Vault Hill.(Picton) I will post more info closer to the date Regards Martin See more

11.01.2022 Hello all I have been in contact with ACMA (Aust Communications and Media Authority) and have been informed that the new South West Sydney digital transmitter, on Razorback will now not be commissioned until mid October, this is the 3rd change of date by them, without any notification to me, they have given no reason for the delay, I will keep you all updated as soon as I get any new information. 10.01.2022 ITS FINALLY HAPPENING!! Hello All, I have contacted TXA this morning and have been informed that the, long awaited, new Vault Hill Digital TV Transmitter, to service Picton and areas south of Picton, including Thirlmere and Tahmoor will commence broadcasting on Tuesday 30th July 2013. This transmitter is UHF and digital only. (On a vertical axis) To receive from this transmitter your TV and any digital recording equipment will need to be retuned, your antenna will need to be... flipped on its side and realigned. Depending upon your distance from this transmitter and the number of TV outlets you have your mast-head amplifier will need to be adjusted or removed. It is possible that some people may lose their TV reception altogether due to mast-head amplifiers overloading, this will most likely be the case for people living in the botanical gardens area of Picton who are currently receiving their TV reception from Wollongong and have their antenna currently facing towards Vault Hill. Although there may be some initial problems for some people, this is a big leap forward for TV reception in the Picton area, who will now be able to receive the full Sydney service. 09.01.2022 Hello All, The South West Sydney Digital Transmitter has been switched on this morning. Many people, especially those with Wollongong channels will be experiencing loss of signal, with low or no signal displayed on their TV. Firstly, you should try running autoscan and that should be a temporary solution and get your TV up and running, if that does not fix the problem please contact me on my mobile number 0418 288531, and leave a message if I am unable to answer the phone and will return your call ASAP, as you can imagine I am extremely busy at the moment, thank you for your patience! 07.01.2022 Hello all I have contacted TXA today to check that switch on date for South west Sydney digital transmitter is still end of March, I was informed that the date has been changed for the 8th time and now expect it to be turned on end of April. This whole issue has been extremely frustrating over the last eight months and we are appalled by the apparent lack of concern regarding the complaints we have made about these issues when we raised it with mySwitch and TXA We are quite furious with the whole situation but will keep you updated when information comes to hand

06.01.2022 Hi All, Just to confirm that the new Picton Transmitter was turned on Tuesday 30th July 2013. It is a relatively low powered transmitter and we have seen no evidence, so far, of mast-head amplifiers being overloaded as they were with the Razorback transmitter. The signal is covering the whole of Picton well, it is also servicing Tahmoor and Thirlmere, although some of the Tahmoor and Thirlmere areas will be unable to receive signal from this transmitter (depending on the loca...tion). If you wish to now receive full Sydney reception from this transmitter and live in the above areas, please do not hesitate to call me and I will test the signal in your exact location. 05.01.2022 Hello all, I have contacted TXA again yesterday and I have also been informed by a reliable source that the new Sydney South West Digital Transmitter is scheduled to be switched on in 12 DAYS TIME!! Tuesday, 30th April 2013. We are extremely hopeful that this is finally correct. Still nothing definite on the Vault Hill Transmitter, looking likely to be late May or June. Regards Martin

01.01.2022 Hello All, I have again contacted ACMA this morning, re the new South West Sydney Digital Transmitter commencement date. They assured me that it is still scheduled to turn on before Christmas, however I have heard, on the grapevine, that there are some technical issues that still need sorting out and that it is unlikely to be in operation before the end of January 2013.
