12.01.2022 No need same faith and cultures to serve any community. But we should respect their rules and regulations.

12.01.2022 Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh Last month I put a poster from the Sikh Association of Australia outlining a basic dress code for entering the Gurudwara that is followed across the world and across Australia in all gurdwaras. As people from all multicultural backgrounds and different walks of life come to our Gurdwara so it was important that this poster would be there for the people that are unaware on what dress code is acceptable when entering our place of worsh...ip. But unfortunately the current committee in charge removed this poster, I am not sure exactly why because this is followed throughout the world and Australia, but for some reason our local Committee has an issue with following basic obligatory guidelines set by our religion. Perhaps it is because some of the people in charge don’t adhere to these guidelines themselves as they usually wear whatever they feel like wearing to the Gurdwara. So in necessitation I had to go in person and hold up the poster as they would just remove it if I was to reapply it on the door. I am all for freedom and everyone has the right to wear what they would like out in public, this is a basic human right, freedom of expression. But there are some places where you cannot wear anything you would like, a sacred place of worship is one of those places, there is a modest dress code that is followed everywhere around the world in Gurdwaras and all I was doing was just reminding people to please wear modest and appropriate clothes regardless of who you are to the Gurdwara. The government provides millions of dollars in grants to many different cultures and faiths to preserve their identity and this is an integral part of our Sikh identity, this does not cost anything to preserve, it just requires you to be respectful and adhere to some basic principles when in our place of worship. Everything is provided there at the Gurdwara, there are head coverings and pieces of cloth to cover your head as required. This is my point of view, It is up to you if you agree or disagree with this. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

01.01.2022 Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh We would like to extend our support for those that protest for their rights and for any injustices fearlessly and in a peaceful fashion. ... It is the love of Farmers that even while protesting they are feeding and offering water to the police who are setting up barricades to stop them from coming further, they are already used to feeding the whole nation so I’m sure feeding the police officers is no trouble for them. The Majority of this protest has been peaceful and I hope it stays this way as this is how democracy works, everyone has the right to protest and raise their voice against Injustices and any violations of their rights. We would also like to wish everyone on this auspicious day of Gurpurab. The birth date of the founder and our first guru of Sikhism. Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj.
