15.01.2022 Hello to everyone in Townsville I hope you and your family are safe and well. I just wanted to let you all know about our family business - Silk Homes Qld. We are a local building company here in Townsville and we are standing at the ready to help anyone that has been affected by the floods. We understand the heartbreak of this event. We were in the middle of building our new family home in Rosslea when the rains hit. Luckily we were safe and dry at our current home watching ...all the weather reports, news and social media like many others. It was in fact via an ABC news article shared on Facebook, that we first discovered the state of inundation our new home has suffered. The water rose to above one metre throughout the home. We are still waiting for the waters to recede to begin the crushing task of demolishing the irreparable water damage. As numbing as it is we know many more of you are facing worse. Our hearts go out to you all. We know Townsville will pull together and get through this. Keep your chins up Townsville!
