11.01.2022 You may not be aware but catering businesses like ours have had 95% or more of future bookings cancelled by clients in the last 5 days due to coronavirus restrictions, disruptions and fear. It's going to be a hard road ahead for us and other small businesses in hospitality and tourism. Today I spoke to a wedding client whose reception venue is considering cancelling her booking, so she may not have wedding guests to feed. My jaw dropped when the bride-to-be said she'd cons...idered the financial impact we're facing before considering her own situation, and wanted to call to tell me that if she's forced to cancel her wedding reception she'll still have the catering as originally booked. She wanted to support our small business and our staff in these financially tough times, but not only that, if her reception is cancelled she'd like her food packaged up so she can donate it to charity! I'm re-inspired with hope that we'll all get through this somehow and ride out the storm. The world is not full of supermarket hoarders and self absorbed people after all. See more
