09.01.2022 This drives me nuts. Our local paper has a recipe for "sourdough" bread. There is not a single reference to a sourdough starter which has a colony of naturally formed yeasts and bacteria. The recipe uses commercial yeast and takes just 3 hours to make. It is a "bread" recipe. On the upside - they have managed to get some spelt and wholemeal in there and there is no sugar - still better than supermarket bread! BUT IT IS NOT SOURDOUGH.
