25.01.2022 ADOPTED FOR THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER 2020! Silver Lining Pet Rescue had a fantastic month for adoptions during September with... 27 beautiful pets finding their forever homes!!! Among these babies we had 6 of Nairi's puppies head of on their life adventures, the Lily/ Lenny sibling team go to a furever home together & several cats adopted through our Pet Stock partner stores :)... When I first came to my foster home with my brother I was a very scared little girl. So many changes to get used to, strange places, strange people. We each need our own time to get used to the new, just like humans do. I am no different. It took me a little bit of time to settle into my foster home, but now that I have my true personality has come shinning through. I am not supposed to tell you this but I have stolen a piece of my foster Mum’s heart. I can see it every time she strokes my softest fur, and give me chins scratches & tummy rubs. I am definitely a favourite of hers. You can see in my photo album that I have been assisting my foster Mum in her working from home duties. As soon as she sits down to commence work I hop up the the table because I know I can get lots of cuddles. After what I deem is an appropriate amount of cuddle time I curl up in my bed on the table so I can still be close to my foster Mum but catch some at the same time, multi skilling at its best. If I were to come and live at your place could I ask if you could get me some toys to play with? I love balls, chasing them all over the place. Those dangly toys are also a favourite of mine. I am very alert and I quickly notice any changes of light so laser toys are something I think I would enjoy. If you were also to have a friend for me to play with would be nice as I get along with everyone at my foster home, even the canines. That brother I spoke about, well he has gone to the most amazing home and I am hoping maybe I could get me one of those. Hi everyone. I am Mao, and yes I am tall, dark and handsome. Now I know you are wondering about the EASY part. Well I am just about as laid back as you can get. Totally chilled with everyone. I don’t care who you are, what you look like, if I think you will make a good cuddle buddy well I’m there. I spend my days sleeping and cuddling and sometimes I will change it up by cuddling and sleeping. I love a good pat and I will seek you out if I think you have a free minute to give me one. Watching the birds and butterflies in the garden from the window is another favourite pastime. Sitting on the ledge of the window sill in the sunshine is simply divine, and I will often be found sharing the ledge with one of my foster family so we can all enjoy the view. I am not fussy with my food and I will help you with the washing up by licking my plate clean. I am very helpful like that. My foster Mum says often what a gentle sweet nature I have, that I come from a family of gentle cats and she would know. 17.01.2022 These poor little kids have found themselves on death row in a rural pound. As you can see, they all have cat flu and are very skinny. Any donations towards their transport costs, vet treatment and food are welcome.... It will probably take a few months for these kids to be ready for adoption, but every life matters, right? 12.01.2022 We had this boy 3 weeks. He arrived in Brisbane from a rural pound on the 18th September. He was in a foster to adopt situation with an amazing carer who just wanted the best for him. He was desexed approximately 10 days ago and the vet found he was anemic. We took little Alf to a vet closer to home. All seemed ok. Fast forward to Monday and Alf was in a poor way. Again he was rushed to our vet Barambah Veterinary Surgery further investigation showed not only was Alf again st...ruggling with anemia his kidneys were also failing. He was provided with a blood transfusion and we prayed very hard for Alf to pull through. The universe decided Alf was needed in the Summerland and he was helped to sleep to stop his suffering. Beautiful Alf fought so hard. Rest now baby <3 Run free over the rainbow bridge We have no idea why Alf ended up in such a state. But he was loved the short time we had him. Huge thanks to both Ipswich Family Veterinary Clinic and Barambah Vet Clinic for their efforts to save this boy. See more

12.01.2022 Let's wrap up this week with another lovely adoption success update Pictured beautifully below is Willow as named by her furever family, she was Yoko when in our care :) 1 year ago we got a beautiful Kitten from Silver Linings. Willow is the greatest addition to our family who just adores the children who she gets to grow up with. She has also gone dark (was caramel & white) but still has those magical blue eyes! ... As you can see by her photos she has grown from and adorable little kitten into a beautiful majestic young lady cat who just loves her humans and a snuggle... Aaawww!!

04.01.2022 Hi Everyone, Been a couple of weeks since we updated you on our two little babies Daisy and Jerry, as you may all remember we picked them both up in a neglected state. We are now happy to say they have both put on just over a kilo of weight and are looking much healthier. ... Jerry is now getting wavy locks and is looking gorgeous, he is also coming along with his basic toilet training, there are still accidents but everyday is an improvement. Daisy is a smart little lady and most of her hair has grown back! It may only be short in patches but it is great to see her skin healing and fur coming though. She also loves to play fetch, and we are so happy with her confidence growing each day. She is still learning to walk on a leash as she had never been walked before, but like Jerry and his training each day is that little bit better. They have also made great friends with our carers granddaughters and are loving all the cuddles and play time they are getting from them. Please note they are still not adoption ready and still have a way to go before they will be ready.

Raylan the gorgeous Bull Arab X Cattle is a big boy but that doesn't stop him loving on his British & French Bulldog and Great Dane X foster siblings that he is currently in care with. Whether near or far, Raylan's motto is - more doggo = more love to share around!! His foster carer will often find him sitting in the garden just watching his favourites with adoration - see video posted in comments!!... ... Just warms the heart doesn't it
