24.01.2022 Miss playing but most actors/entertainers in the same boat at the moment. Anyway it’s not camping but trust me we be back there soon. Got a story coming up on lighting your campsite, what do you use? I’ll review a very cool light from Darche in the near future and other interesting studies. Thanks for hanging in through these restrictions, being Victoria based we are hog tied at the moment. But remember better to be safe then sorry, this is temporary. Anyway have a great weekend and catch you all soon.

16.01.2022 Old days flashback ...Happy Halloween ....playing Lucifer in Edgar Allen Poe’s Bon Bon at Cairns Civic Theatre and then at Nightmares restaurant #lucifer #edgarallanpoe #theatre #actor #nightmare #sellyoursoul #memories #aussieactor #devil #costume

15.01.2022 Some great mates camping out here up Boar Pocket Road kinda back of Tinaroo / Tinaburra, back when I was a movie star ....young fella back then. When filmed it was called the Penal Colony from the amazing book by Richard Herley but with Hollywood glamour and sensitive American sensibilities it became Escape from Absolom in Australia and finally No Escape in the USA. It features Ray Liotta so that’s where you will find it if you want a look see. Some notable old mates here, ...Pedro no longer with us. Great piano man and totally nice gentlemen who often graced the stage with the Ruschy clan through several bands. My brothers were in it as well and several mates on set costumes and art department. We have some amazing unseen talents floating around Australia. It was pretty awesome though at times grueling we filmed day and night in torrential downpours with some battles in knee deep mud, cold, wet My hat was woven by my dear departed mum and I now weave them myself though have not picked up her fine skills. Got more photos but limit is 10 so give us a yell if you interested in more. Also please tag any of the bro’s you know my memories for names is not the best. See more

13.01.2022 Hey y’all, like the rest of you obeying the social distancing so here I am at home, out in the car park and taking this time to tweak some of Little Horses set up. This is a drivers side 270 awning from Darche. I have not purchased the walls though you can zip walls in all around. It’s a little long for the vehicle but I will brace it up. Set up is pretty easy, less than a few minutes. Pack up a little more arduous though I think I finally have it. The bag is a tight fit so i...f you don’t get it right you got Buckley chance zipping it up. I watched a couple of YouTube videos which I tried but finally found it easier to pack via the sunroof. Anyway I am sure it just needs a bit of practice. Perhaps I will make a flip up hard cover might be easier than bag and zipper. I will ponder on that. For now the plan is to sort out the rest of the camping gear, get rid of some, upgrade others and of course look for new innovative ideas. Hopefully the current predicament won’t drag on for too long and we can get back on the road we have lots of new gear which needs an outing. Cheers all and catch you virtually soon. #darcheoutdoorgear #bushmanfridge #dunnandwatson #offgrid #jeeplife #jeepcherokee #jeepcherokeekk #camping#roadtrippers #nomad #silvernomadaustralia See more

10.01.2022 New arrival for my kit. No more fretting about airing up or down for those soft sand and tough areas. With this thang I hope to avoid or at least limit other recovery efforts. Last year I was rescued by a fellow camper at the BRB after copping tyre damage by not airing down before taking the stony desert road this was mostly because I was unsure about where I could air up again equally vital. 5 year warranty on this so let’s see how it goes. Now just have to perfect tyre repair and all’s good . Please feel welcome to share your experience if you got one. Thanks... I wonder what other air tools I can run with it. #4x4 #bushranger4x4 #bushranger4x4gear #4x4offroad #4wdrecovery #compressor #airdown #airup #airtools #aussieoutback #aussiesofinstagram #getoutthere #bogged

08.01.2022 This is why you don’t mess with wildlife.

07.01.2022 87 unattended or abandoned campfires were found across Victoria over the weekend during FFMVic and Conservation Regulator patrols. Campfires must never be left ...unattended and should be completely extinguished using plenty of water. Make sure you're familiar with the rules: https://bit.ly/3pAo4dT Parks Victoria Victoria Police

06.01.2022 Yoda Rock. Last Year flashback. Outback Queensland. Finally looks like quarantining is settling so we are planning the 2021 Tour. Its going to be a Northern Safari no idea of which route yet. But will keep you posted nomads. This time the Darche 260 Safari ground tent has given way to the Darche Intrepidor rooftop with Skyview. Makes the girl happy to be off the ground what with marauding crocs, rabid razorbacks, savage echidnas and the like. The Intrepidor has been coupled with the 270 awning with walls kit. Still thinking about the new retreat Darche have made for the 270 but have not decided if it’s overkill or not. Thanks for staying connected through the rough. Cheers Ruschy.

06.01.2022 Hey all. Here’s a guest blog spot I did which Camps Australia Wide featured. Chuffed thanks . Hope it stimulates some ideas for the future when the dust settles.... Until then, stay safe. Regards.

03.01.2022 Yep I was a kid in the 60’s, never had one of these though lolz.

01.01.2022 Where it all began, found these old photos of my first Jeep early 1980’s. No internet back then . Loved that mean machine it’s a CJ7 Jeep, the canvas top I had made in Cairns to fit the roll cage which I had engineered in Kuranda. You had to get out and lock the hubs in for 4x4 action. Beauty of this beast was you could rock it between reverse and first without use of the clutch to get out of bogs. With the tractor tread tyres I don’t remember ever being bogged even on the C...REB track in the wet. Did bounce a mate out once though, no doors lolz 2nd photo is seats out to repitch the floors, on river crossings water could flow right through. Motor was a Falcon 250 and very easy to work on when you opened the hood could see the ground, glass fuel filter so could see any crap build up. Retired it in Darwin 89 sadly after a mishap and missed it ever since. #jeeplife #jeepcj7 #4x4offroad #bushbashing #offroad #jeeplife #jeep #meanmachine #lovejeeps @ Koah, Queensland, Australia See more
