18.01.2022 Sometimes things just don’t go the way you planned. Last weekend we planned filming the free online course that was to be published this week. The day starte...d as usual with me feeding the horses near the house and Irena going to the bottom of our property to feed the other horses. After a while I heard her yelling my name ! That has to mean a serious issue I thought as I ran down to see what was wrong. She had walked down to find one of the geldings in the first paddock standing in the driveway outside his gate with no obvious sign of how he had got there. After putting him away she continued down the bottom to find our stallion standing next to a mare! Luckily he was still on the outside of her paddock having a chat over the fence! I arrived, caught him, surveyed the broken fence posts in his paddock and thought to myself. We won’t be filming today. I will be fencing Miraculously there was no real damage to the horses, just some superficial cuts. I put Saruman, the stallion in an empty yard with Gandalf his paddock mate who had decided to stay well clear of the broken fence and all the commotion then I spent most of the day fixing the damage. It really reminded me of one of my sayings, have a plan but don’t fall in love with it. See more
