25.01.2022 As COVID-19 restrictions are easing we are planning our competition calendar for the remainder of the year! Registration links will be provided over the week, with more details on the individual competitions to come. Please keep in mind that while this is the Current plan, events may be subject to change should the situation veer course. However this is the current plan going ahead!

22.01.2022 Big weekend last weekend! Our biggest meet so far with 52 competitors leading into @australianpowerliftingunion state titles in a few months time also to be held at our facility. The day saw some awesome lifting from everyone including multiple national records being broken, and our first time hosting special O athletes thanks to @the_flyingkiwi Congrats to our 11 members that also competed across the day and we will see you all at States!

17.01.2022 As the dust begins to settle on The COVID-19 pandemic in Australia a last minute ease of restrictions has allowed us to open earlier than expected. We are working as fast as we can to be open as soon as we can safely facilitate. June 8th is the date! To all our members, we ask you take prevention measures seriously and make sure you are on top of hand sanitization which will be provided in the gym, and we ask that everyone wipes down their equipment after use and maintains recommend social distancing guidelines. We are not out of this situation yet so we all need to work together to prevent any further spread. We will look forward to seeing everyone come June 8th!

16.01.2022 A few weeks ago we had Grant @sunshinecoaststrength go head to head in a 200 kg AMRAP grudge match. Grant previous best last year was 9 reps to just lose out on top spot. This year grant achieved 22 reps with a few more in the tank and took it out!, the event was also organised by grant in an effort to raise money for @livinorg , in which all involved help to raise nearly $8,000. Good work mate

11.01.2022 This weekend we have our Annual GPC Sunshine Coast summer classic. There will prize money up for grabs once again for best male and female lifters as well as a spot for best powerlifting team on our plaque, Eastside Barbell currently holds the only spot for their performance last year, who will claim it this year?

11.01.2022 Our new re scheduled date for our annual non affiliated deadlift competition! "The Sunshine coast biggest deadlift" will now be held on Dec 12th for 2020! Open to EVERYONE! Registration link is in our Bio. If you have already registered to our previous event there is no need to re register. Same prize money as before, same equipment as before. 07.01.2022 COVID-19 update It is with regret that due to the arise in the current situation regarding COVID-19, after government decision, we, along with all other gyms will need to close our doors until further notice. We appreciate all the thoughts from our members and those in the community in these troubling times. We will be back!

06.01.2022 We are proud to announce sunshine Coast BIGGEST DEADLIFT is now open for registration! Link below https://forms.gle/Hytjc4VBntZPk6pr5... this is a single lift event! Based on a bodyweight vs weight lifted formula (IPF POINTS) There will be 2 divisions, male and female! The winner from both will take away $300 and the crown of having the biggest deadlift on the coast! 2nd place =$200 3rd place = $100 Whether you want to have a crack at taking the win or a crack at a PB everyone is welcome. This will be a non sanctioned independent competition. Which means no affiliation with any Federation.
