25.01.2022 Hi all I have been on a boat for a few days and got some free Wifi and KL -- Port Kiang Glenn Cruse Terminal. Here is a photo I took in Inda hope you like it.

23.01.2022 I everybody. This was a shot taken in Switzerland, on my way to France on a very long drive to Lyon. I stayed in a lovely hotel, which they asked me where I was from I replied Australia. They said its been five years since theyve seen anyone from Australia, which I find remarkable as we have big population of travellers. These three elements to this photograph, the building to your left which is an old house with a old tiled roof the stones next to it to stop this snowdrift..., on the mountain on the road is an old hotel which is being renovated I believe the winding road going up the mountain is brought altogether by the train on your right heading up the valley. This is a big scene it would have been bigger back in the 1919s, with glassier coming down that rock face on the left into the centre of the frame. The glassier now is retreated to the other side of that rock face with a small lake in front of it. See more

23.01.2022 Hello, while I was in Atlanta Georgia meeting and enjoying my family and helping them do some odd jobs around the house I was taken to a fabulous place called the old car city just north of Atlanta. I really enjoyed the old car city its got 4000 classic cars and 7 miles of trails newly 40 acres of old cars strewn amongst the trees Pinetree leaves and poison ivy which is the first time I had the pleasure of rolling in accidentally, I was told that if I do that again I might get the lesions that poison ivy is famous for but thank goodness I came out without in each. Here are a couple of photographs that Ive taken I hope you enjoy them Im sorry that you werent there walking and exploring.

22.01.2022 Hi all, This is a photograph of a ruin this was built 1853 it's in Smiths Creek in the hills of Adelaide sadly it's on private property but I just thought I would share this photo.

21.01.2022 This photo was taken in France. As I was driving from Lyon through the centre of France going past the ski fields I came across this scene one small road, with the old railway bridge on the railway house with the green fields in the changing of the colours it really gives you a sense of winter is on its way. I found myself looking at the scene from little bit of time thinking what would the colour be like two weeks or months and how much snow is really going to be here this y...ear. I just love how the light dances around and highlights the green fields the side of the hill and where the train bursts through the trees onto the bridge. Not far from here I tasted my first Mertel pastry which to set the day off as a memorable one. See more

21.01.2022 Good morning all, My started at 5 oclock incredibly cold and very windy on top of the lookout I park my car so it would be the wind break so my camera wouldnt shake but to my amazement the clouds did not move and the sun rose without showing any detail with in the Flinders ranges. So with a huff I took a ride down to the galley that I knew where this tree was, then stood there for three hours waiting for the sun to light it up but it didnt so I have to go back I think thi...s shot is worth it let me know what you think. Oh yes and above this tree on the rocks there high above the tree, endangered rock Wallabie. Im hoping to catch one tomorrow morning whilst the tree is lit. I had great fun watching them scampering around hopping from rock to rock and me wishing there was a bit a light on the tree and them for a fantastic photograph. Theres always tomorrow morning. 21.01.2022 My Stay in Melbourn was a very good one. I got to see lots and do lots and all to do with art and to see things in a difrent way. This was taken about 6:30am there where some people up but just to say the city was awake. I just love how the tram sits, people are on the way to some where, like the person going to the station or the man paying at the booth. The color is not quite the same as the station is litt from the all the signs so it just not look right but put it in to back and wight and you get the best feel of the old station.

20.01.2022 I'm keeping the theme going with the old cars that I took in the USA last year.

20.01.2022 Hello everybody its time again.. Well last year as per my message I was going down to help my mum. Im happy to say that she is doing incredibly well and at this point she is good and in remission so all the juicing and the taking care through chemotherapy and radiotherapy has helped her, now back on her feet playing bridge, singing in the choir and volunteering her time helping others walking 2 kilometres. I had a chance to go to halls gap down to Portland while I was down ...in Victoria for a little bit of shooting but overall I took the year off to help my mum. Just getting back over the last two months getting myself organised Im off again on a big adventure, Im heading to the Kimberleys. It looks like Ill be away for 2 to 3 months travelling the top end. Ill definitely try to keep in touch I believe in some areas there is lots of Wi-Fi connection so I can be able to at least post a photograph once a week to see the photograph of the area that Im in and also to keep an eye out where I am. If you have any questions please go to my website at the www.simonkeanhammerson.com.au "contact us" page its a lot easier in one place. Thank you and keep safe all and talk soon Simon See more

19.01.2022 This was my seen this morning I took this little sneek shot with my iPhone amazing little devices, to take a photograph of where I am. Was on top of a hill about a 40 minute climb 6. Well wrapped up and thoroughly hot when I got up to the top unfortunately while I was shooting the mist kept on rolling over the hill from the other side of me and creating a missed shot with my Hasselblad. But it was amazing to walk up pink line of fog all around you and then being surprised by kangaroo and several emu all looking at you! Thinking humans are not here at this time a day.

19.01.2022 A photo I would like to share with you a photo from a wedding I took just last week. I hope you like it... Photos of pleople are very new to me.. LOL Well weddings are..

17.01.2022 Well here in Garmish-Partenkirchen in the Alps. Doing a small walk around the lake as the clouds open up and pop some light on place in summer people come to swim and just relax in the cool mountain lake Brrrrr water. Also you can see a very very small box in the big landscape a cable car hadding up the largest mountain in Germany the Zugspitze.

16.01.2022 This photo was taken in Dubai near the gold sook. I had a lot of fun with the boatowners and all the work with my big camera they thought I was part of a magazine so then invited me on the Dowse for a cup of tea and a chat, it was more like waving the arms around and hand signals, as most of them were from Pakistan Somalia and different areas around North Africa. I got some beautiful photographs of lines boats and their old rusting rudders. This one was a very late night shot one of the last I took this day but I just love the front of the boat the beautiful colours white and blue and its reflection within the water.

16.01.2022 I enjoyed taking this photograph I found this old bus near a dam under some Pinetree's signs written all over it but as I walked in you could see the old blue seats becoming weathered and wrinkled. The glasses broken and the leaves on the floor with all the handrails are rusted I can just imagine doing the school run and seeing the tough boys at the back taking charge with people laughing or been worried about the exam they have to attend on that day. The bright yellow of the bus is warming with the sun pouring in through the windows. Bringing back memories of my journeys heading to school each day and I must say I was not one of the boys at the back.

15.01.2022 HI All I am on my way to Kenya. I am taking my mum for her last trip to visit her sisters and daughter. I is very sad time as mum dose not have much time so while I can spend some good time with her I will. I will try to put a pic up or two from there... back soon..

14.01.2022 This is a lovely landscape I stopped here for at least an hour just looking without even taking up my camera, the wind was quite strong and cold the trees and bushes around me were thrashing about, in the higher mountains there was little bit of snow, I suddenly realised the weather was closing in, so got my camera and took this with last of the light, as it was all about to all go grey and dark. I just love this wild landscape with a wild tracks that you can drive on or walk, as there are three people walking on the main road but their hidden. The colour of the blue water is beautiful cold and so clear see through to the bottom.

14.01.2022 I seriously love the shape the rust on the chrome it just really fits fantastically well together.

14.01.2022 Hi All long time not chat... I am here in Italy taking photos and trying not to hit any Italians on the roads... I think its the parking where ever and when ever gets me... But now I can get off the roads I can get a shot or to here is something I like to show you... simple and but very lovely...

12.01.2022 Good morning, Well the photos of the Murray River just west of Swan Hill its now constantly raining and the river is rising and moving quicker. Since this morning its about 6 slight wind chill factor so I fairly miserable day from my end I understand Ill have a week of finer sort of weather next.

12.01.2022 This photo is was taken in Paris, walking across the bridge web people have put locks all over the bridge in showing their un-denying love some locks have been there forever well quite some time. But as I was walking through the centre of bridge I noticed chairs where people sit and think unlike French people do have their moment as I said before, but I saw the pattern of the boards and the rustic nature of the bench and how the light cast a shadow across the scene, with the light post striking the edge of the bench. It invited me to sit and look at the locks and just be part of Paris as the tourists and the people of Paris walked on by going about their business.

11.01.2022 This is a photo taken in Switzerland. This is the leading edge of the glacier, the white ice blue turquoise colour as it gets deeper with in the glacier, with the black grit and grime on top, I just love the colours and shapes of the glacier that would change with every day passing. In the black and white photographs that I just posted recently, at the top of the cliff face to the left of the hotel, is were the glacier is currently retreated too, it has a beautiful waterfall from the melt of the glacier, the cliff face is about 800m more or less. looks much big when your on top...

09.01.2022 Hi there, Well I have found myself back at the pc looking through my photos looking at the time I spent up north. This photo I found on the Gib River road I drove up and down know I saw something not quite knowing what it was but with another flash in my mind I stopped and parked my car walked up a hill and there this photo it was a morning shot set up camp and with the dingos in the back ground It was not long I was a sleep. With a sudden disturbance my alarm was going of I ...thought as I was still coughing my lungs out I dragged myself out of my nest to make coffee got my battery up the hill I went to the spot I picked out the night before. funny about this as the sun was up and that light I was waiting for was gone I found a better spot. it is all ways the way. I must say the view was not different the trees were just placed better. So what did I learn; take the small camera and walk the aria find that shot or take at each spot if the light holds up or say anther night. for me I was just to sick I had to get to broom and stop for a week and I was 400 to 500k away. 07.01.2022 Im keeping the theme going with the old cars that I took in the USA last year.

07.01.2022 Good afternoon everybody, Probably one of the hardest days of my life today in more ways than one. For me its been a tough 2 1/2 years and watching mum slip from my grasp. Today I stood at the grave on my own and said my good byes. So now Im standing at Lake wendouree in Ballarat cloudy and cold day. This is a good start of my trip /Safari. Im heading to the Murray River heading downstream to the South Australian border from there Im hoping that I can get to the Flinders ...ranges chasing The light, not so much the rain Im looking forward to getting back into my work and doing the best I can. Come on my journey and lets see what we find!! for the sun doesnt wait neither does time. See more

07.01.2022 Walking through Lyon I spied this lady having a copy sitting in the only little bit of sun that was picking through the tall buildings as her dog a faithful companion sits on weights. This is very much like France take time dont be in a rush enjoy the moment, even if youre standing in the pastry shop with a big line with the owner talking to a customer for a least 10 minutes no one seems to be bothered, customers just lets the owner and the customer have their moment. Thats just France. So for me this is a lovely memory of France, sitting and watching people go by and enjoying the moment and not being in a rush.

06.01.2022 Whilst travelling in the Kimberley I found some fantastic trees, the good old baobab tree. I have a small theory about baobab trees I think theyre part of the landscape being the old people that look over the land. It feels like an old aboriginal elders that have passed away but the spirits lives on in a trees, some old trees that you see that are over 2000 + years old, are actually the ancestors of their aboriginal people from dream time long a go. The way they stand on the cliffs and on the ledges and out in the plains of this vast country, I feel and see the aboriginal spirit live in these trees. While they they they let time pass them by and as they protect the land and try to teach new people how to protect the land and dream time.

05.01.2022 Somehow when you travel on the highways you get to miss all these little gems. This photo was of the shed built in 1850s near a country town called Avoca.

04.01.2022 Hi All sorry it has been a few weeks putting something up but now home and working hard on getting some new photos out. This is a photo of Sugarloaf South west in Western Australia. I went to this place a few times in a row to see if I could get the feeling of the land and the sea. I just love how the main land and the Island it self just fit together.... it is a rock but the shap and its ruggedness is something to admire. Hope you like it. as much as I do. More to come. 03.01.2022 Yallingup Beach just a lovely place. On this day a lage swell with a storm coming in behind it. I love the man standing with his pord looking out at the swell and taking his time and just lookin at the waves he is about take. The texture in the sky and the wave rolling in just a grate moment in time. I also like this in Black and White and I am not shore witch way to go but I like this it feels right to me. enjoy

03.01.2022 Dont the months go by quickly? One minute Im in the Kimberley feeling incredibly sick driving hundreds of kilometres if not thousands coughing up my lungs resting in Broome getting an enormous amount of ticks and realising a been away for 2 1/2 months. I love driving across Queensland to Mount Isa from the flat planes of Longreach and Winton and then into the rocky outcrop Hills near Mt Isa and then across to the Northern Territory, its hard to imagine in the old days truc...kies would be battling a dirt road across the vast distance to Catherine. I had a huge amount of fun once I got to diggers rest with Rachel and Andrew On The Veranda a week of running around their property looking at the beautiful scene of the wetlands, Cockburns, and the highlight for me was going into the Cockburns between the south range in the North range. And having Rachel getting her catarrh in the cool of the night and the fire roaring incredibly memorable memories from me. Im looking forward to seeing them both again. If theyll have me back. I drove about 14,000 km from Brisbane diggers rest Mitchell Falls, Kalumburu, Derby, Broom, Bungle Bungles...back to Brisbane. And during that trip I met some fantastic people either at the campsites or travelling with, and Id like to mention Greg and Lenore who put up with me for about a week as my car filled up with dust me getting grumpy at the same time getting quite a bad lung infection, so guys thanks putting up with me and hope to travel again. Over the next month and a half Ill be putting up some photographs of the Kimberley that survived, and yes you did hear correct survived. My Hasselblad (my baby) had an issue with it unbeknownst to me until I got home and my card reader died which then deleted a good days and the travel back from the Kimberley. Ive driven down to see my mum and see how she is an some good news with her is that they cant find a cancer in her system shall be doing tests in 2 to 3 weeks to find out after a year from the chemotherapy and radiation. I drove down the coast road and found some beautiful places down on Eden in the southern snowy River system. As I always do with mums help I chop wood next years winter I measured it all up and got to about 9 m of red gum for her. Currently in the next 2 to 3 weeks Im pulling my shed apart and making my office larger with big printer laminator tables and paper theres just not enough room in a 3 x 3 office so hopefully in this time Ill get a better space and work environment. 01.01.2022 When Jeremy Clarkson said he likes cars that have teeth and attitude. I never thought that I would see a car that would gobble me up or say I am tough, get off the road or I will bite

01.01.2022 I took this photo because of shapes, squares of different tones of the tiles looking around for a good position I notice the light of the stained glass window and an old great, so I sat down just on the bench and waited for the people to move on just enough time to take this one. Love the pattern the splash of light worn feel of the tiles and the intricacy of the four the grates in the floor.
