21.01.2022 CONNECTING THROUGH SPORT Council partners with Reclink to provide socially inclusive sport and art programs for people in our community who otherwise would miss... out. Their programs build social connections, resilience, positive self-esteem, responsibility, leadership, motivation and team-work skills. As their face to face programs have had to pause for a little while they have created Reclink Sports Share Packs for their participants so they can continue to have every opportunity to be active and engaged. Mayor Ann was on board last week to help distribute the packs to some of our community members. 07.01.2022 Last night I was invited to go to Harrogate where the community put on a celebration to thank the CFS brigades and firefighters who helped to save so much of Harrogate and who sought shelter at the hall where they could get food and drink and a place to rest. Members from Milang, Woodside, Brukunga, Ironbank, Burnside and others were there. It was a great night put on by a great tight knit community who are to be congratulated for their kindness and thoughtfulness during the fire and now.
