25.01.2022 IMPORTANT NEWS FOR 482-457 visa holders! - COVID-19 Reduced Work Period & Concessions If you hold a Subclass 482 or 457 visa and have experienced certain temporary changes to your employment arrangements due to COVID-19, as a Subclass 186 visa applicant you will now be able to include time spent working at reduced hours, while on unpaid leave or while being stood down towards your employment experience requirement providing that:... 1. It occurred during the concession period and during the period of four years (or three years if applicabile) immediately before the Subclass 186 nomination application is lodged; 2. During this period, you remained employed in the nominated position and you would have otherwise been employed on a full-time basis if it were not for COVID-19. The concession period is from 1 February 2020 with no end date currently being set. However if your employment was terminated during this time resulting in your unemployment, this new legislation unfortunately will not apply.
