16.01.2022 All North Ward Councillors are disgusted in the way Warragamba residents have been treated. Please see our joint statement with our combined plea to the NSW Highway Patrol. North Ward Councillors Landow, Gould and Hannan are disgusted with reports highway patrol are booking people for parking on the verge at Warragamba once again. Council has been working with the police and RMS to trial a parking system in parts of Warragamba to address the unique parking issues in the vil...lage but due to the fires, flood and now COVID-19 there have been some delays in the trial. Council do not have the power to stop police booking residents if they choose to do so, but we have been doing all we can to make representations to senior police to have this stopped. At this time whilst so many people are under stress and financial hardship due to the multiple disasters of fire, flood and Covid-19, it’s incredibly disappointing that the police would choose to enforce parking rules to stop people parking on the verges when it has been common practice for decades and has never caused an issue, particularly when the police are well aware that there is work underway to address the issue and know that in many cases there are no reasonable legal parking alternatives for residents.
10.01.2022 Parks to reopen on Friday. And some pubs too
03.01.2022 A few highlights from Council last night from the 20-21 budget We will have a new road crew dedicated to fixing our roads and new plant and equipment to assist our out door staff. We are finally on track to getting a Water Park.... A study is being funded to locate the best place and what the likely cost will be. NGO's will have access to grants with the help of $30000 to our residents who need assistance due to Covid impacts. In this current climate, I believe some great progress will be made in the next 12 months
