24.01.2022 Feeling inadequate with the clean shaven look. Time for a change?

24.01.2022 We voted! The Greens will safeguard our Senate, invest in our schools and unis, build a clean-energy future and protect Canberra jobs. Why are you voting Green tomorrow?

22.01.2022 A little video my team and I made today in response to the latest advertising campaign from the coal industry. Shares much appreciated!

20.01.2022 Great to be seeing so many members making the switch. If you'd like to join them: www.myfuturesuper.com.au

20.01.2022 On Tuesday, 10am at the Legislative Assembly, the ACT Government will debate its historic Marriage Equality Bill. Many of you have shared your experiences and stories with Shane Rattenbury so he can talk about why this legislation is so important to so many in our community. For more information: https://act.greens.org.au/civicrm/event/info?reset=1&id=232

19.01.2022 Great to see Christina Hobbs take charge of our campaign to secure a Senate seat in the ACT. Last election we took the Liberals to 37 preference counts after forcing them below quota. Now Canberra has seen just how destructive a far right wing Senator can be for our community. I hope you'll sign up to be a part of the campaign. I just did!

19.01.2022 The great Richard Denniss is doing the 100 year anniversary Manning Clark lecture next Tuesday. Check it out and grab your ticket! http://manningclark.org.au//richard-denniss-what-economis/

19.01.2022 People have been popping into the office all morning asking how Simon's going and looking for results. Quick update is that we don't know much. It's looking incredibly close. We're still waiting on below the line votes to be counted, and preferences. But we'll keep you in the loop as soon as we know anything. Thank you! - ACT Greens Team

19.01.2022 The election is well and truly over and it's time to start planning the next steps. Before we move forward, let's take one last look at everything we achieved together this campaign. Please also like ACT Greens page for updates about what's being planned over the next weeks and months!

19.01.2022 Abbott wants to silence the scientists who are calling for urgent action on climate change by shutting down the Climate Commission. But, they're not ready to stop doing their important work and have started up an independent not-for-profit The Climate Council instead. The Climate Council has received an incredible community response over the last few days - let's keep it going! LIKE, SHARE and JOIN the Climate Council.

18.01.2022 Our election night get together with an incredible team of volunteers. Again - thank you all so much!

17.01.2022 Enormous thank you to everyone - especially those who are STILL volunteering, scruitineering at ANU this morning! ACT race is still looking too close to call - but there's no doubt that all of our campaign team and volunteers who worked so so hard, can wake up with no regrets today! Thank you all for everything.

17.01.2022 Check out this great video from Future Super!

16.01.2022 In Canberra or Sydney? Come and join the YES campaign and make calls for marriage equality at the Future Super offices. Anywhere else? Check out the yes campaign website!

15.01.2022 Canberra. The Best. Full Stop.

15.01.2022 Check this out - the first super fund in Australia to advertise a full page break up letter to the fossil fuel industry. www.myfuturesuper.com.au

14.01.2022 Tomorrow we'll not only decide who will be Prime Minister, but how the Senate will hold them to account. We're so close. So, please like and share.

13.01.2022 Great to see larger swings against the worst of the worst in the Liberal Party when compared with the national swing. Abbott supporter Zed Seselja got the lowest vote on record for the Canberra Liberals. Andrew Nikolic is gone. Peter Dutton had a huge swing against him - if he wins it will be his last term in Parliament but he still may lose. And Tony Abbott's biggest fan, Tony Abbott, is down as well. Anyone who says that Malcolm Turnbull has to give this faction more power in his cabinet, should he form Government, hasn't heard the message from the Australian public. Last night Australians voted against Malcolm Turnbull and the Liberals. But even more than that they voted against Tony Abbott and the radical right of the conservative party.

13.01.2022 Ever wondered why the Big 4 banks seem to be stubbornly refusing to rule out financing coal expansion projects along the Great Barrier Reef coastline? My thoughts on New Matilda today. Check it out here.

13.01.2022 Did you catch us on Lateline last night? It was punchy, exciting segment! It's been a huge week for the divestment movement - People's Climate Marches everywhere, Rockefeller divesting, have a watch for more!

13.01.2022 We're slowly packing down our mammoth election efforts and we're looking for about 30 square meters of storage space to store corflutes and stakes. Anyone have any space and/or ideas? - ACT Greens Team

10.01.2022 Today I rang Zed Seselja and Kate Lundy to congratulate them on their election to the Senate as our ACT representatives. My deepest thanks to our campaign team, all of our volunteers and of course Anna.

10.01.2022 Happy Election Day! Almost 10% of people don't decide how they are going to vote until they are at the ballot box. Please share!

08.01.2022 Some of our volunteers after already spending a few hours setting up at booths! Thank you!

07.01.2022 Just launched: fossil fuel free home loans! Check it out: www.myfuturehomeloans.com.au

07.01.2022 Tonight we saw a great result for the Greens in Canberra and around the country. In the ACT we had a swing towards us in the lower house. This is exactly what we need in the lead up to the ACT Territory election. Meantime the Canberra Liberals have had their worst election result in the history of ACT Senate races. Congratulations to the incredible team who made this happen, particularly our lead candidate Christina Hobbs. It has been fantastic to be a part of this campaign. A big shout out and congrats to Greens around the country who saw some incredible swings as well!

06.01.2022 A few of my thoughts on the leadership change this week.

06.01.2022 Last night Greens members and volunteers came together to talk about the Election Campaign and what we've learned from the last year of campaigning together. It was a great night! Votes are still being counted, and the Liberal vote has begun to fall now that we're counting "below-the-line" votes. We'll be in touch when we know more!

06.01.2022 One of the other speakers at our Symposium: Connecting Canberra's Community and the Environment will be Simon Sheikh. Get your ticket to hear him speak here: ww...w.facebook.com/events/808503922562316/ Simon is the co-founder and CEO of Future Super - Australia's first fossil fuel free superannuation fund. Under his leadership, Future Super has quickly grown to include more than $40m in funds under management. Simon is the former National Director of GetUp!, and sat on the inaugural board of the now 120,000 strong Australian Youth Climate Coalition. Previously he worked as a Financial Analyst at NSW Treasury. Simon has consulted for organisations as diverse as Bendigo Bank, the Asset Owners Disclosure Project, major unions and other community groups.

02.01.2022 Superannuation funds like Future Super give people the opportunity not to have their retirement savings invested in coal. While thousands of people are flocking to Future Super, the Treasurer is stuck sticking up for the industry and having a go at those funds that have divested. Please read and share!

02.01.2022 Volunteers all over Canberra talking to voters about why voting Green is so important this election - to protect the Senate, to protect our environment, to protect our jobs and to protect our schools and unis.

01.01.2022 Excited to announce the launch of Future Super - Australia's first fossil fuel free super fund. With the Federal Government doing all they can to wind back action on climate change there's never been a more important time for consumer action. Check it out at http://www.myfuturesuper.com.au

01.01.2022 Some great candidates running for preselection for the ACT Greens! If you are a member don't forget to vote - it closes soon! http://www.canberratimes.com.au//former-aid-worker-christi
