13.01.2022 Is has been so terrific to have students back in our training rooms over the last few weeks. It has been wonderful to meet new students and welcome back familiar faces. Thanking you all for adhering to our social distancing rules, temperature checks and hand sanitising it makes it so much easier to keep us all safe. Certificates are being issued and local students are always welcome to collect theirs. Vanessa picked up hers this week and was snapped having a ‘socially distanced’ congratulations with her trainer Narelle. Congrats Vanessa!

09.01.2022 Guess What???? There is only 49 days until Christmas eeeeeeeeeekkkkkkkkkkk!!!!!!!! We are excited! Unfortunately though, it is not an exciting time for many. In particular this year after so many unfortunate events..fires, COVID, lack of employment and of course the toilet paper shortage. It has definitely been a year that will never be forgotten. This year let’s give even a little more generously to those that are not as fortunate.... This year we will be working in conjunction with St James School to ensure your donations are directed to those who need a little extra help. Below is a list of items that they are requesting to create hampers, they are aiming to create atleast 75 hamperslets help them exceed that number. NON -PERISHABLE FOOD LIST not close to out of date SUITABLE FOR DONATIONS FOR CHRISTMAS HAMPERS Cake mixes Flour Sugar Pasta Rice Biscuits sweet & savoury Sauces and recipe bases Cereals Canned fruits and vegetables Canned & packet meals (such as soups, chili and pasta) Spreads like peanut butter, vegemite etc Christmas serviettes & bon bons Christmas puddings Christmas mince pies Bottled water Toilet paper Cleaning products UHT Custard (1 litre). Shortbread (200g packets). Potato chips (large packets). Canned baked beans, spaghetti, soups, fruit, tuna/salmon and ham. Lollies (packets). 04.01.2022 We are hiring! Simple Solutions is hiring disability support workers. Do you have experience working with people with disabilities, dementia, mental health or behaviours of concern? Can you communicate via AUSLAN? We would love to meet you. Don't have experience but would love to learn some of these skills? Join our trainee program and you will get paid while we will train you on the job. No qualifications are no problem, we are happy to train the right people. We hav...e positions available in both Hervey Bay and Maryborough. A few things to know. You must be able to work a wide variety of shifts including sleepovers, nights and weekends. You must have a Queensland drivers licence. You must be able to comply with our non-smoking, alcohol and drugs policy. We are opening expressions of interest in delivering our Certificate III in Individual Support, face to face (yes!), in Maroochydore, Hervey Bay, Maryborough, Rockhampton, Bundaberg and Gladstone. These classes will be structured so that students will receive a DUAL Qualification in both Ageing AND Disability talk about opening some doors!
