Art doesn’t have to be boring. It doesn’t have to be safe. Art is a very personal choice & should be a reflection of you. Have fun with it! When selecting pieces for your home, be brave. Choose what you love. Give zero f*cks about what anyone else thinks. There are SO many ...options available. Inexpensive or investment. Heck DIY a piece for yourself! Ok back to this insane piece we used on a recent install - our clients (& agents) were BLOWN AWAY. This house. Sold. After only 30 hours on the market. Some houses call for seriously cool pieces. And we love to use pieces that nobody else is using. We have a HUGE collection of amazing art at our disposal. We choose what works in every home. House full of light? Let’s go dark & edgy. 12.01.2022 ~ BEDROOM STYLING 101 Have bed. Will style. There is no right or wrong way to make a bed (unless you’re putting your throw cush in a diamond shape ) ... Our top tips on styling your bed? 1. Standard cush: most of us have those totally un sexy memory foam ones ewwww we don’t want to display those LOLs. Lay it flat & have a feather filled standard pillow to put on top. Linen is always a good idea. The turmeric pillowcase here is from @adairs current range. 2. Euro pillow: add height! Euro covers can be as pricey as you like. This white cover is from @targetaus & is super affordable. 3. Throw cush: we generally use 2 or 3. You don’t want to overwhelm the bed. Or if you’re in a fuck it mood go large & put 8 on . The hot AF leather cush here belongs to our client, the other one is linen goodness from @adairs current range. 4. Doona: MUST be fluffy. MUST have volume. Or your bed will just look flat. Here we’ve used a feather filled doona & put a stunning coverlet over the top to add extra texture. This beauty is from @hmhome 5. Bedside tables: I’m a BIG storage fan so bedside tables with drawers are always a good idea. Timber will warm a space. White will make it crisp. Black dark & moody. Re props: a bedside lamp & some fresh floragerie floats my boat! 6. Art: maaaaaan art is SO personal! I have (strong) opinions on what NOT to put above your bed but we’ll save that for another post lol! Anything calming. Anything that makes you smile. 7. In summary ... do whatever TF makes you smile every time you walk in your bedroom. Make your bedroom your sanctuary. Play with colour & texture. Happy bedroom styling 101!
