16.01.2022 **SIMPLY BREATHE MASSAGE CLIENTS** After much soul searching and consultation with my family, I have come to the heart-wrenching decision, to shut the doors of Simply Breathe for the time being. This will come into effect from close of business Tuesday 24th March. By its nature, it is impossible to function as a massage therapist whilst maintaining a 1.5 metre distance from your client. My biggest fear is not necessarily that I should contract coronavirus but that I may unkno...wingly spread it to other clients, friends or my family. And if I was responsible for infecting one of my more vulnerable clients, or taking it into the nursing home... well that doesn't even bear thinking about. While the government has not yet forced the closure of businesses such as mine, it is just a matter of time. The AMT (Association of Massage Therapists) is recommending that their members cease treating clients for an initial period of two weeks but the likelihood is that it will be for much longer than this. Coronavirus is changing everything about the way we live our lives and conduct ourselves on a daily basis. We all have to take responsibility for doing the right thing, protecting ourselves and others. We need to do everything we can to reduce the spread of this terrible epidemic. Economically, times are going to be difficult for many, many people but our health, and the health of our loved ones and those we care about is far more important. I assure you that this decision has not been made lightly and am truly sorry for any inconvenience it may cause. I will most certainly miss your faces, company and our wonderful conversations. I wish you all the very best of luck and health while we navigate our way through the COVID-19 minefield and look forward to the time when our lives can return to normaI. I'll be in touch just as soon as it is safe to get back to work. Please take care, Kath x See more

03.01.2022 Hi All, I know it's been a veeeery long time since I last posted. Lord knows it's been a rough, tumultuous year for everyone and I'm no exception. There have been many changes in both my personal and work life not the least of which was the decision to 'close' The Mayne Place. This came about due to the uncertainty brought by COVID-19 and also that our lease was due for renewal. The fact that I have had a number of medical procedures this year added to the anguish of continu...ing to pay rent on a premises which wasn't being used. So as many of you are aware, I am going to be working from home permanently. This hasn't been a fast transition due to my latest operation which required a 6 week recovery period. We were lucky enough to find a house in Chinchilla which met our family needs and will give me enough space to work comfortably. The move was very rushed but things are starting to feel like home. Officially, I am able to head back to work this coming Monday (7th September) but I will only be available until Friday 18th September as we have a long overdue family break booked in for the school holidays. And I still need to ease my way back into working. So... I have a few spots left before the 18th September but will be back rested, recovered and refreshed from Tuesday 6th October. And with no more surgeries anticipated in the near future, should be (COVID permitting) uninterrupted for some time I am truly appreciative of the patience you have extended to me and the friendship I have been shown. The offers of help from so many have been quite overwhelming and will be remembered for a long time to come. Much love Kath See more

02.01.2022 Due to the operation I am scheduled to have tomorrow, I will be unavailable for appointments until mid February. Thank you again for your continued love and support
