24.01.2022 The past 2 weeks have been so busy getting ready to re-open. After being closed for so long it was so nice to turn Sonos on again. It was like.......'we are really doing this' I've missed everyone so much and I look forward to seeing all my regulars again. Newbies of course you are welcome.

18.01.2022 It’s so difficult to be going back into stage 3 isolation. For the health and safety of all my customers and my family I’m not waiting till Wednesday to announce temporary closure. I will be closed with immediate effect until we are again safe to re-open. On the bright side, I’m going out with a bang! Today I was part of an amazing team competing in an international competition. Years of visionary dreams and artistic inspiration have come together in a crazy few weeks. I can’...t post the pics yet until they have been submitted for judging but I’m so excited to see the professional pics and share them . Big changes are on the way in lash lounge and I’m going to focus on working on a new lash challenge during isolation. I’ll see all my lovelies soon.

She moved to Bendigo for work and agreed to answer some questions about her experience with eyelash extensions and Simply Gorgeous. Here's the transcript of the questions and answers. Katrina: Mikaela, why did you decide to have eyelash extensions? Mikaela: I had been having them done for 12 months before I moved to Bendigo. I enjoyed the reduced maintenance and the time it gave me back.... Katrina: Why did you choose Simply Gorgeous? Mikaela: I was recommended by a friend. I had a look at your facebook page and phoned you for a chat. I liked your work and you are so good with people I felt very comfortable to book for an initial set. After that everything fell into place and I'm now a regular. Your salon is immaculate, your work outstanding and each appointment is like visiting a friend. Katrina: How do your lashes feel with extensions applied? Mikaela: They don't feel any different to having just my natural lashes. I have to be careful that I don't rub my eyes and accidentally pull the extension off but apart from that I wouldn't know they were there. Katrina: Is the application process painful or uncomfortable at all? Mikaela: Not at all. Nothing about the process is painful and your treatment room is so comfortable it feels like a yoga work out. Comfy bed, relaxing environment, nice music - sends me to lala land. Katrina: How long will you keep having extensions applied for? Mikaela: As long as I can afford them or unless you advise me otherwise. You have always given me spot on advice about shedding, looking after my lashes and upkeep. You told me early on that looking after my natural lash health is a number 1 priority and I know that with all the conferences and world travel you are doing to build your knowledge about eyelash extension developments, application the industry and the products used, you are making sure you are in the best position to give current professional advice. Katrina: Do people comment on your lashes? Mikaela: I get heaps of people asking me if they are my own lashes. I like the classics as I think they are more natural looking. People have said my lashes are amazing. Natural but not ridiculous looking. That's the look I like personally but I know everyone is different. You give me the look I want. Katrina: What do you enjoy most about your eyelash extensions? Mikaela: The compliments of course plus not having to put on and remove mascara.
