24.01.2022 Queensland has two new cases of COVID-19 to report today, bringing total cases to 1078. The first case is a woman who tested positive after travelling interstate last week. She is an employee at Parklands Christian College on #Brisbane_southside. Queensland Health is working closely with the school which will temporarily close until further notice.... 21.01.2022 RIP Chadwick Boseman Chadwick was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016, and battled with it these last 4 years as it progressed to stage IV. A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all, and brought you many of the films you have come to love so much. From Marshall to Da 5 Bloods, August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and several more, all were filmed during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy. ... It was the honor of his career to bring King T’Challa to life in Black Panther. He died in his home, with his wife and family by his side. 20.01.2022 RESTRICTIONS UPDATE: From 8am tomorrow, restrictions will ease on the Gold Coast and Darling Downs. Gatherings of up to 30 people will be allowed in people’s homes and public spaces. Visitors will be permitted at hospitals, but may be required by the hospital to wear PPE.... Aged care facilities can accept visitors when they are ready to do so, and residents of aged care facilities and disability accommodation services can leave for non-emergency reasons, like visiting family or shopping. 02.01.2022 BREAKING: Queensland borders will close to New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory from 1am this Saturday, August 8. All visitors will be denied entry except for rare exemptions and returning Queenslanders will have to pay for 14 days mandatory hotel quarantine. Queensland’s Chief Health Officer has declared all of New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory as hotspots.... Only residents of border communities and essential workers, such as truck drivers, will be able to cross the border. Exemptions including for compassionate reasons will be limited. Passes for border communities will be for those with proof of address and photo ID. The border closure will be reviewed at the end of the month. #covid19au
