19.01.2022 What do Sunday mornings, Northey St Organic Farmers Market, LIVE MICROGREENS and SIMPLY ORGANIC FARMING have in common?? Each other, of course! Here is our list of goodies (and some ideas) for you to make your own, available at our stall onsite. Check them out!! BROCCOLI - due to popular demand, we are bringing EVEN MORE! live punnets of this super microgreen variety for you. KALE - another super microgreen packed full of nutrients and taste!... RED CABBAGE - a firm favourite among those that know its benefits and the way it just takes a meal to another level. Your liver will thank you for it too! BEETROOT - wow its a flavour sensation and if you haven't already tried it, find out just how beetrooty it is, way more than any beetroot you have ever eaten before. Pairs really well on avocado toast. SWISS CHARD - otherwise known as silverbeet, its a yummy and pretty microgreen to throw into your meals. RADISH - simply the most intense radish flavour you will have ever had, currently at their peak of intensity and nutrition, but if you can't take the heat but still want the goodness, just wait a day or so and eat them then, they mellow out like a fine drop of wine. SUNFLOWERS - a real surprise packet, a nutty buttery flavour that is robust enough to be able to use as a last in line ingredient in your cooking, perfect in warm salads, stir fries and wraps. PEA SHOOTS - crisp, sweet, super refreshing and good for you, what more could you want on a hot summer day? MUSTARD - pure mustardy goodness, which gets more mustardy as it grows, best to eat now, such a neat great looking microgreen that delivers fantastic flavour and nutrient value. ROCKET (ARUGULA) - the true peppery flavour of rocket, just a bit stronger and a lot better for you than the older leaves you get in the salad bags. WHEATGRASS - make your own wheatgrass shots with these, or whizz them up in a rapid blender as part of your smoothie. PETGRASS - make your furry friends healthy too, cats and dogs will love having a good old munch on this microgreen, our kelpie and our chooks are big eaters of these and really enjoy it. 16.01.2022 Awesome News for all our Brisbane supporters.... ** we are coming to Northey St Organic Farmers Market this Sunday (15 Nov) with our microgreens. These beauties are coming along nicely and will be in prime condition come Sunday. Since this will be our first time attending this particular market, for those who don't know us, we will have live, fresh microgreens in punnets or half tray sizes which you can take home with you and harvest as you need. Just keep them moist as ...per the instructions until you harvest them, and they will stay happily growing until you want to snip them into/onto your meal. There will be a large variety to choose from that you can delve into deeper to see what they look like. Zesty Salad Mix - our special signature mix - totally YUM! Sunflowers Pea Shoots Beetroot Pink Kale Red Cabbage Broccoli Rambo Radish Mustard Cress Amaranth Pre-order forms will be available as well should you require something in particular, or at a larger quantity. It is coming into festive season and some of the really pretty colourful varieties that look and taste amazing do take time to grow, which is why we do the order form for you to consider your planning and get it right. For all our furry friends we are bringing petgrass along. Give them something to munch on as well.
